The threat of 'The Big One' looms as Bush talks up the roadmap to peace

"We're in a time window of higher hazard," Mr. Cassidy said. "It's likely that one of these slip events will [one day] trigger a megathrust earthquake."

An Oregon Public Broadcasting article states a study by seismologists in British Colombia finds a big quake between Canada and northern California is 30 times more likely than normal within the next two weeks. Thirty times more likely over the course of the next two weeks!

The threat of the long-anticipated and feared 'Big One' looms large and, as it does, President Bush is throwing caution into the wind, once again talking up the Quartet's cursed roadmap to peace, as seen in an israelinsider article. May God have mercy on the United States of America, especially on those of us who respect His covenant with the children of Israel concerning their lands!

While some probably think I'm going overboard discussing this topic so often of late, our nation's need to comply with God's will concerning Israel can't be stated strongly or often enough for it is written, as seen in Genesis 12:3: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

There are many who fail to realize that what President Bush is supporting, contrary to what he and all his administration's spin doctors are saying, is not in the best interest of the nation of Israel! It is not a blessing, but a curse of the highest order! That Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was welcomed to the United Nations with open arms this week, even by many of Israel's worst enemies, the United Nations itself being chief among them, should demonstrate this, even to the most naive of us!

A Jersualem Newswire article captures the irony of Sharon's welcome quite well in my opinion, stating, in part, the following:

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was the darling of New York Wednesday for his successful expulsion of 10,000 Jews from their homes, but all was not well on the home front as the threat of early elections loomed ever closer.
At the United Nations' 60th anniversary summit, heads of state, including those from Israel's self-proclaimed Muslim enemies, lined up to shake Sharon's hand and hold both scheduled and “chance” encounters with the man responsible for the first Jewish surrender of the Land of Israel in history.

Why was Sharon the darling of New York? Because he's the man responsible for the first Jewish surrender of the land of Israel in history, bringing Israel's enemies, hypothetically speaking of course, closer to their goal of wiping Israel from the face of the earth. In fairness, however, I believe President Bush and EU High Representative Javier Solana should've been the darlings of New York as well. Why? Because they deserve a lot of credit for what recently took place in Gaza as well. Bush's support of the roadmap and his influence in bringing the recent Gaza withdrawal about is well-known. Solana's role, on the other hand, is less known but just as significant, as hinted in the following excerpt from a Haaretz article which addresses the roadmap to peace:

Solana is one of the few foreign statesmen who really knows the Israeli political and security establishments. When he visits here, his schedule is always fully booked with meetings, interviews and informal conversations. Officials at Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's bureau consider him a key liaison to the international community - a man with great influence in the Palestinian Authority and great sensitivity for Israel's problems. Sharon's adviser, Dov Weissglas, frequently speaks to him by phone, bringing him into the picture during crises.

As the international community heaps its praise on Ariel Sharon and everyone prods him to make further concessions to the Palestinians, Israel's enemies are documentably demonstrating why Sharon never should've bowed to the will of the international community, as well as why President Bush's Middle East policy poses a greater threat to the safety of the United States of America than 10,000 Al Qaeda terrorists!

A Middle East Newsline article states, in part, "Israel's military has assessed that Palestinian weapons smuggling from neighboring Egypt has significantly increased since the withdrawal from the Gaza Strip." Not only that, a WorldNetDaily article, an excerpt from which can be seen below, indicates Gaza is already armed to the hilt!

"Gaza is armed to the hilt," said a senior security official. "The Palestinians have now moved an enormous quantity of weaponry, including anti-tank missiles, explosives, ammunition, rocket propelled grenades and the like from Sinai into the Gaza Strip. They took complete advantage of the lack of any real security along the Egypt border."

Is America presently living under threat of God's wrath being poured out on it as a result of President Bush's support of the Quartet's roadmap to peace, especially when there is absolutely no doubt the Bush administration knew, yes knew, the end result of the Gaza withdrawal was going to place the nation of Israel in even greater peril than it was before? There is little doubt in my mind!

All the Lord would have to do to bring 'The Big One' against the United States is merely glance our way in displeasure yet our nation's leadership, not even close to emerging from the horror of Hurricane Katrina or solving the many problems associated with it, continues to do what the most blessed nation in the history of the planet should never do - disregard God's promise of blessing and curse where the nation of Israel is concerned.

Earlier in the commentary, I touched lightly on my suspicions the EU's High Representative, Javier Solana, and President Bush have been tag-teaming Ariel Sharon somewhat, successfully convincing him to make dangerous concessions to the Palestinians. While the revived Roman empire we today call the EU has a clear future in Bible prophecy as the last global power that will rule the world prior to the visible, physical, bodily return of Jesus Christ under the leadership of the prophesied Antichrist, America's future in the world is in serious question and we may be seeing why in the news of our world today!

Luke 12:47-48 is demonstrative of God's willingness to harshly punish those who best understand God's will and choose to disobey it:

And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not [himself], neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many [stripes]. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [stripes]. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Unto whomsoever (or the nation) much is given, of him (or the nation) shall be much required! The United States has been blessed with great wealth and a distinctively Christian heritage for the most part, which is why I so greatly fear President Bush continuing to involve the United States in the Quartet's roadmap to peace! We've been immensely blessed and we can't, as a nation, plead ignorance of God's Word!

When we look at the world around us, what nation has been given more of God than the United States of America? How much, therefore, must God expect us to honor His will concerning ALL things? His expectation that our nation be obedient to His will - and rightly so - must be VERY high. When we consider all the threats presently posed against our great nation, we should be striving to do our very best to give the Lord a reason to proect us from 'The Big One.'

Supporting the roadmap to peace isn't exactly an example of America doing its best to gain God's favor, now is it?
