Katrina's Dead Being 'Chipped'

A RedHerring.com article indicates "a company that makes ID chips for humans" has started “chipping” corpses in the Katrina-ravaged region of Mississippi to help expedite the identification process."

The concept of "ID chips for humans" is nothing new to regular readers of RaptureAlert.com and neither is the company responsible for doing it - Applied Digital Solutions, maker of the implantable VeriChip. According to the article, the VeriChip radio frequency identification (RFID) device, which is eerily similar in description to the prophesied mark of the beast to come, has already been implanted inside 100 corpses in the state for the Mississippi State Department of Health.

An excerpt from the RedHerring.com article states, the following (emphasis added mine):

Using RFID tags to ID corpses is the company’s latest move in the growing field of RFID, which is expected to one day replace barcode technology. The RFID market, which commonly tracks goods in a supply chain and streamlines factories, is estimated to become a multibillion-dollar industry over the next five years.

Do you feel threatened by the fact the VeriChip implant is being placed in corpses in Mississippi? If you don't, let me ask you this: How long do you think it's going to take for someone to suggest how much easier identifying these corpses would've been if the chips had already been implanted in these individuals? I believe this is precisely what we're being led to consider through news stories like this. If you don't believe that, I'm of the opinion it's time for you to wake up to what's going on around you. Time to get your head out of the sand!

During the Tribulation Period to come, Bible prophecy tells us the Antichrist's False Prophet is going to require everyone, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast [the Antichrist], or the number of his [Antichrist's] name. (Revelation 13:16-17)

While I have no idea whether or not the VeriChip is going to evolve into the prophesied mark of the beast, within this commentary we see the potential that it (or a similar type of technology) may turn out to be just that! We also see, in theory, how a technology of this nature could be sold to us as a beneficial technological advancement as opposed to something capable of tracking our every movement, identifying our political and religious affiliations, and controlling, yes controlling, our financial resources.

While none of us know how long it will be until the coming of the Lord for His Church, the advent of the Antichrist and His False Prophet, and the implementation of the prophesied mark of the beast, we'd do well to keep a very close eye on where implantable microchip technologies appear to be headed, as well as how they're currently being used. There just may be something to it - something far more sinister than society (and perhaps even those working on developing them) has conceived to this point.
