EU Ready to Boost Gaza Aid!

For as long as I can recall, at least since the Quartet of Russia, the United States, the United Nations, and the European Union has been on the world's diplomatic stage, I've been looking for the European Union to step up its role in Middle East peacemaking. Well, as I've documented in other commentaries, it seems to be coming around! Demonstrating this to be true, ABC News is currently reporting the following, in part:

Echoing what ABC News is reporting, Middle East Newsline is reporting the European Union plans to establish a security presence in the Gaza Strip. The article quotes Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abu Al Gheit as saying he expects Israel to approve an EU deployment, adding that he has spoken with his French counterpart about "getting help for security through a European presence on the ground."

A European Union presence on the ground in the Holy Land, Christians! If that doesn't speak volumes concerning how rapidly we're moving, at least ideologically, toward the advent of the Antichrist I don't know what does!

I think it's important, as we look at the Middle East Newsline story, that we reflect on what the ABC News story tells us this kind of stepped up role for the EU is contingent upon. The EU is saying it will only step up its role if there is progress on a Middle East peace plan!

Bible prophecy tells us a Roman prince (or leader) is going to confirm a seven-year covenant of peace in the Middle East between Israel and her enemies "with many", as seen in Daniel 9:26-27. As a member of the Quartet, the European Union (the revived Roman empire foretold in Daniel 2:41-43) is posturing itself to be the Beast government we're told in Daniel 2:44 will be the final global empire to rule the world - the kingdom the Roman prince we commonly refer to as the Antichrist will lead in the aftermath of the Rapture of the Church and the 'confirming' of peace in the Middle East!

With each passing day, the prophetic end times scenario foretold in the ancient texts of the Bible comes more clearly into focus - a reminder that Jesus Christ's return may well be right around the prophetic corner! ARE YOU READY?

Daniel 2:44: And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
