Footsteps of The Beast

Revelation 13:1-4:

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

In the 13th chapter of the book of Revelation, John describes seeing a beast rising up out of the sea - a beast whose power, seat and great authority will someday be given him by the dragon, Satan. The beast John saw will be gravely wounded in the prophetic future in some manner, but will be healed, causing all the world to wonder after him. Eventually, as we see above, the majority of the world will come to worship him, wondering who could possibly stand against him!

Before the man described above - the prophesied Antichrist - becomes the object of the world's worship, he will ride into the world's spotlight as a knight in shining armor of sorts. He is seen in Revelation 6:2 as a peacemaker whom we see sitting, symbolically, upon on a white horse.

Revelation 6:2: And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

The Antichrist, as ironic as it is, is going to seem a man of peace and good intentions when he originally captures the world's attention, but his interest in peace will be a great deception - a cleverly-concealed power grab. Peace, ironically, will be the "weapon" he will utilize to destroy many, as seen in the eighth chapter of Daniel.

Daniel 8:23-25: And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

So, how will the "king of fierce countenance" get a foothold on leading the world as we have seen, gaining the respect and admiration of the world before his true nature is known? Through the confirmation, specifically, of a seven-year peace covenant in the Middle East between Israel and her enemies, as seen in Daniel 9:27: And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:

When the Antichrist confirms the seven-year peace covenant, the world is going to jump for joy, but that joy will be short-lived! Why? Because, when he does so, the world's seven-year countdown to the physical return of Jesus Christ to the earth at the Battle of Armageddon will have started, resulting in a period of literal hell on the earth for all those who have rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ to that point!

1st Thessalonians 5:3: For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

For years now, I've been preparing the readers of my website for a day to come when the European Union would move from beneath the diplomatic shadow of the United States and into the lead position in seeking to resolve the Israeli-Arab/Palestinian conflict in preparation for the advent of the Antichrist to take place, an event which will be preceded by the Rapture of the Church.

Guess what? That time is now, which may well mean we are swiftly nearing the time of Jesus Christ's return for His Church!

We're watching the prophetic scenario coming together!

As I have documented, Israel recently asked the European Union - the kingdom the Antichrist will lead to conquer the world during the seven-year Tribulation Period to come - if it would be willing to secure the Gaza border, as seen in an EU Observer story dated 11-2-05.

On 11-6-05, I documented, through the use of a People's Daily Online article, European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana will soon visit Israel and the Palestinian territories to discuss what role the EU might play as a third party in Middle East peacemaking efforts.

The latest is European Union foreign ministers agreed today (11-7-05) to an EU supervisory role at the Gaza-Egypt border, based on an agreement between all sides, according to an EUBusiness.com article.

How close could this bring us to the confirmation of a seven-year peace covenant in the Middle East? Assuredly, closer than we have ever been before! Although no one knows how much longer it is going to take for the Antichrist to be revealed to the world via a seven-year peace covenant's confirmation, what we're presently witnessing is the most dramatic prophetic posturing to ever take place toward that end result, in my opinion! To see this, all one has to do is read the latest article from the EU Observer on the topic, an excerpt of which is presented below for your consideration (emphasis added mine):

EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana told journalists on Monday (7 November) he was "very proud" of member state's willingness to launch the border inspection mission, confirmed at a foreign ministers gathering in Brussels.
EU inspectors are expected to jet off to Gaza to control the Rafah crossing, which according to Israel is characterised by weapons smuggling and uncontrolled passage of Palestinian fighters.

Mr Solana said the plan would lead to the "most important security presence in Middle East ever by the EU."

The mission would represent the EU's first-ever border-securing operation.

His spokeswoman Christina Gallach said the inspectors would "not just be sitting there and watching," but play a "more active" role.

This would be according to the wishes of the Israelis, who want the Europeans to have "enforcement capabilities", and seems to be less in line with the stance of the Palestinians who favour a mere "monitoring" role.

After reading that, if you're not hearing the footsteps of the Beast marching down Prophetic Fulfillment Boulevard, it's time to wake from your spiritual slumber and start looking up! Why? Because the next sound those of us who have placed our trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior may be hearing may not be footsteps at all, but a shout! Why? Because the Antichrist doesn't get to rise up until Christ's Church rises up!

1st Thessalonians 4:16-17: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Jesus Christ is Lord and I can't help but believe He is coming soon!
