The EU and global identification

In the Bible we're told a future political leader who will hail from the revived Roman empire, today's European Union, will be the subject of the world's worship during a time when a system will be brought into use that will make it a requirement for everyone to receive a mark of loyalty to him in their right hand or forehead, without which they will be unable to buy or sell.

Revelation 13:16-17: And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Could the prophesied mark of the beast become a reality in your lifetime? Absolutely, although I like to think most of my site's readers have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and will be long gone (via the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church) by the time this becomes mandatory during the reign of the Antichrist in the seven-year Tribulation Period to come.

Already, as most of my sites readers know, the FDA has approved the use of an implantable microchip technology similar in description to the prophesied mark of the beast for tracking people in hospitals with complex diseases such as Alzheimer's, as is currently being documented by Sunbelt BLOG, which accurately calls the technology "the ultimate spyware." What an innocent entrance this technology is having if it is, indeed, the forerunner to the mark of the beast, huh?

As implantable microchip technologies are being hailed as a possible solution to the problem of people wandering off due to complications brought on by illnesses like Alzheimer's and RFID (radio frequency identification) is being used to prevent newborn children from being abducted from hospitals, IBM is calling for a global identity management solution, as seen in a ZDnet article.

An excerpt from ZDnet's article reads as follows:

The growing need for fast, accurate verification of personal identities has prompted a call from an industry observer for a global agency to set international standards.

The realm of identity and access management (IAM) is heating up as nations like the UK and the US increase their use of biometrics and other identifying technology in ID cards, border controls and other areas.

As the use of implantable microchip technologies is making minute strides in acceptance, IBM believes there is a growing need for fast, accurate and global identification systems to be developed, presumably to protect us from the threat posed by international terrorists and the organizations which support them.

Interestingly, the ZDNet article on IBM calling for global identification standards to be developed subtly hints at implantable microchip technologies like those mentioned earlier in the commentary by stating the following, which shouldn't go unnoticed as it is demonstrative of how gently mankind is being nudged toward the future mark of the beast:

During a medical emergency, for instance, the identities of a foreign doctor and a visiting patient need to be established quickly and accurately, in order for the right healthcare to be administered.

Makes you think, doesn't it?

Currently, as seen in a Telegraph article, the revived Roman empire of Bible prophecy, today's European Union, is building a network of spy satellites which will allow "Brussels to ensure nations and private individuals are obeying its policies." The system, which the article refers to as "Global Monitoring for Environment and Security" or "GMES", should be up and running by the year 2010.

Questions to ponder: How is a system of spy satellites going to ensure private individuals obey the policies of the European Union? How would someone in Brussels know, solely through the use of a spy satellite system, whether or not you, an individual, are being obedient to government policies unless you yourself are somehow connected to said satellite system?
