That's Hollywood for you, isn't it? Always looking to make what God has called sin - "man-on-man love" being one such thing - acceptable in today's world.

As a heterosexual, Christian man I'm not going to see the movie Heath Ledger says transcends sexual morality as defined by Almighty God with its so-called "purity and honesty." If I were to, however, I wouldn't be walking out of the theater feeling swept away by the story. I'd probably be leaving frustrated that the Word of God is being rendered of no effect in the godless world we're presently living in - one where anything connected with Christianity is taboo because it poses a threat to someone's delicate feelings yet everything else is perfectly fine, even that which threatens to poison the minds of our children into believing mankind has evolved societally past the timeless texts of the Bible to a place in history where a day outside one's home, even here in the middle of the Bible Belt where I call home, is like taking a field trip to Sodom.

Case in point: Yesterday I had to pick my teenage daughter up from high school. Arriving a few minutes before she was to meet me, I noticed a number of young people were gathered near the entrance to the school. As many other parents sat in the parking lot in plain view of them, two young girls, directly in front of the high school's front doors, started kissing. I'm not talking about pecks on the cheek, mind you, but openmouthed making out.

I sat in my car amazed, given how public it was, that these young girls didn't fear any of the waiting parents in the parking lot would recognize them and, perhaps, tell their parents. Or is that sort of thing a thing of the past now too? Probably.

As I wrestled with how Satan was reaching our children at such young ages, deceiving them into believing that God's rules concerning sexual morality are no longer valid, a green SUV driven by an attractive young lady pulled alongside me in the parking lot. Moments later an attractive blonde-haired girl I presumed was a junior or senior in high school, based solely on her appearance, started making her way to the SUV wearing a big, lovely smile. What a cute, clean-cut young lady, I thought. Once she sat down in the vehicle, I watched as she and the driver, who seemed of similar age and appearance, began chattering away, each of them checking what has become standard issue teen equipment these days - their cellphones. This made me laugh inside as it always does. Teenagers and their phones! Any parent of a teen knows what I'm talking about in that regard I'm sure. The first thing kids today do after school, my own teen daughter as well, is check to see who has called or text messaged them while they were at school. At any rate, a few seconds of clicking on their cell phones passed and the scene transformed dramatically. The blonde-haired girl reached over, placed her left hand in the hair of the brunette driver, and pulled her close to her. I'll let you fill in the blanks from there, but suffice to say they were very good friends. They drove away as I sat there bewildered.

I know what those who despise the conservative evangelical Christian's belief in the literal interpretation of the Word of God will think upon reading this, as I know they ultimately will once a copy of it gets posted (to the glory of God) on some online forum filled with God-haters. They will believe I was sitting in my car seething with anger and resentment at the sight of these lesbian high schoolers. They will be wrong to presume so - and completely.

All four of these young ladies aren't evil in my mind, but victims of a well-orchestrated campaign of deception carried out by the powers of darkness, specifically designed to make them think it's somehow hip to be different sexually, perfectly okay, even natural and acceptable to the world. What does God think about it? These children, for the most part, don't know what He thinks about it. Why? Because too many parents are failing to teach their children what the Word of God says, too many churches are afraid to offend someone by telling their congregations that God is offended by homosexuality being practiced, and movies and television, 'Brokeback Mountain' being a fine example, are glamorizing homosexuality, acting as though love is love, regardless of what form it takes.

That I saw what I did at the local high school in ten short minutes tells me that Satan's campaign of deception, being carried out on many fronts to teach our children they are little other than animals, most notably in our public schools where evolution is the only explanation for our existence allowed to be taught, is working, leading our youth to believe there are no consequences for sexual misconduct. They are taught from an early age, after all, that they are merely evolved life forms, as opposed to the unique creations of a loving, all-powerful God. What an utter lie - one that precisely explains how our society is becoming reminiscent of the days when Lot lived in Sodom prior to its divine destruction.

Yesterday, I went to pick my daughter up from high school and found it like taking a field trip to Sodom. While I have nothing but love in my heart and compassion for those being deceived by Satan into believing there is no price to be paid for rebelling against the Most High God, those practicing these lifestyles may soon find themselves in a world where there will be few voices to lead them out of the lust-filled deceptions they're now willingly embracing.

Jesus warned, as seen in Luke 17:28-30, the day would come when Christians would find themselves, figuratively speaking, feeling as though they are on a field trip to Sodom every time they leave their homes, oddly enough at a time when things would seem to be relatively normal otherwise. He also pointed out that this would be the condition of the world near the time of His return for His Church.

The bottom line: Make yourself ready because Jesus Christ is coming soon!
