When Christians support the dividing of Israel's lands

by Michael G. Mickey

(3-31-06)

A Haaretz article opens as follows (emphasis added mine):

The leaders of the Christian faith in Israel and the Palestinian territories expressed concern over the possibility that the newly elected Israeli government will continue its unilateral withdrawal from the territories: "On this occasion we wish to express our concerns regarding the frequent talks on Israeli intentions to proceed in implementing unilateral measures in the West Bank, while seemingly ignoring the Palestinians and their democratically-elected leadership," they said.

Christians are worrying that Israel's government will act unilaterally, seemingly ignoring the Palestinians and democratically-elected terrorist government? Surely, these are the end times!

As my readers know, I often comment on the topic of how little the modern Christian today, generally-speaking, knows about end times Bible prophecy. Even so, no matter how many times I see it in print, I find myself both flabbergasted and frustrated when I see Christian leaders, of all people, trying to get Israel to negotiate a peace covenant with its enemies in light of the prophecies of Daniel. Are these "Christian leaders" trying to bring about the advent of Antichrist or what? I'm seriously beginning to wonder!

Why does the average Christian today not know that a prince of Roman descent, the Antichrist, will arise to global power through confirmation of a seven-year covenant of peace between Israel and her enemies, as seen in Daniel 9:26-27? Because Bible prophecy is just "too controversial" to be taught from the pulpits of the world today, ironically at the moment when it most needs to be!

Regardless of how it came to be this way, those of us who understand the times we're living in need to be sounding the alert to the entire world, both the Christian world and the world the lost are presently residing in as well.

When Christians begin singing in harmony with the rest of the world, even Israel's most violent enemies, in seeking to see Israel's covenant lands divided as a result of a negotiated peace settlement that every sane person knows will endanger the nation of Israel's very existence, it's time for the saints of God to begin publicly speaking out, warning a lost and dying world that we're quite likely nearing the day of the Lord!

The world wants to part His lands and, already, Gaza has been handed over. The West Bank is next, as seen in an article by The Independent which opens by making it clear that the appeasement of Israel's enemies is going to continue (emphasis added mine):

Ariel Sharon's successor, Ehud Olmert, began the task of building a workable coalition yesterday after Israelis voted, for the first time, to return a majority of MPs committed to dismantling settlements in the West Bank.

We're letting the terrorists win and this proves it!

A WorldNetDaily article quotes Meir Amit, a former director of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, as saying "global civilization is on the verge of "World War III," a massive conflict in which the Islamic world will attempt to impose its ideology on Western nations."

Each and every time the West surrenders to the demands of the Muslim world, the more it's going to press its ideologies on us, leading us closer to the battle of Armageddon, which I wholly believe Meir Amit is accurate in stating we're already nearing, at least conditionally! Already, which is so obvious I could throw up, the strategy of our enemies is working like a charm! Want to see some proof, outside the obvious which, as stated earlier, is everyone wanting Israel to appease their Muslim enemies by negotiating peace with them when negotiating for peace has never worked before? Ever?

Try these two examples out for size:

  1. The Khaleej Times is reporting that "British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw has asked European governments to learn more about Islam and “protect the rights of every citizen irrespective of their faith and creed.”" Why do European governments need to learn more about Islam? To prevent upsetting them, of course. The Muslims see this as submission to Islam, empowering the radical elements of the religion to continue pressing against us!
  2. The Khaleej Times is additionally reporting that Tony Blair made a trip to Indonesia this week, adding that "Blair’s trip is the first by a British prime minister to Indonesia in more than two decades, showing the country’s renewed importance to Western nations fighting extremists and seeking alliances with moderate Muslims." Again, the focus is on learning how to befriend Muslims. The Muslim faith requires that Muslims neither befriend Jews or Christians, which brings us back to the original issue, which is Christian leaders pressuring Israel to seek negotiated peace covenants with its Muslim enemies.

In the end, Bible prophecy reveals that God's lands will be parted, but it doesn't mean the Church should roll over and die where the possession of Israel's covenant lands are concerned! We must resist the world's desire to see this happen, even if our only measure against it taking place is fervent prayer! The parting of God's lands will be at the forefront of Christ's mind when He returns at Armageddon so it should be high on the Christian's list of priorities that it not happen on his or her watch, at least not as a result of apathy.

Joel 3:2: I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and [for] my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

There are some "Christian leaders" who need to reevaluate their position on Israel working to give its enemies its God-given lands. It's a shame it even has to be said.

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!
