The mark of the beast's "cool factor"

Plenty of visitors who stop by my website think I have a few screws loose. Some go as far as to tell me so in an e-mail, but I'm okay with that. Why? Because I know, yes know, that they can not possibly read more than one or two of my commentaries before something starts to click inside their head saying, "You know what? This guy may be right about some of this stuff."

Today's topics my skeptics will be unable to logically refute as demonstrative that we're moving toward fulfillment of Bible prophecy? A potential mark of the beast technology in the news, its "cool factor", and the reality that the mark of the beast is coming, potentially in the not-too-distant future, in fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Revelation 13:16-18: And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.

Revelation 13:16-17 tells us the False Prophet of the Antichrist will require mankind to receive a mark of allegiance to Antichrist in the Tribulation Period to come. Without the mark, individuals will be unable to buy or sell. In Revelation 13:18, we're given a clue as to the Antichrist's identity which I believe will make perfect sense to those who will be present to see it in the Tribulation Period to come - those who have failed to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior prior to its outset, having missed out on the Rapture of the Church as a result of their unbelief.

Is there any technology in the world today similar in description to the prophesied mark of the beast? Yes, it's called the implantable microchip. Not only is it in existence, many are being drawn toward it like a moth to a flame, due to what the subject of an ABC News report refers to as the implantable microchip's "cool factor."

Get one of these chips and you can log onto your computer with the swipe of your hand. Get one and you can start your car with a swipe. You can even unlock the door to your house with a wave of your hand with one of them implanted in you! What a set-up Satan has underway to deceive mankind, which is why I'm trying, as best I can, to open eyes to the truth right now, in the hope that many will have their eyes opened and come to faith in Jesus Christ on this side of the Rapture of the Church - the side one needs to do so on as this commentary will make more clear as it progresses.

Since late December 2005, I've been documenting a dramatic surge in what I consider to be pro-mark of the beast propaganda appearing in the news of our world today. The latest ABC News report's content is no exception, as I'm about to demonstrate.

Those currently voluntarily accepting microchip implants are apparently being labeled as "taggers", as seen in the following excerpt from the ABC News report:

As of now, most "taggers," as do-it-yourself implanters are called, use their chips to get into their homes, computers and cars. "Originally, I just wanted to get rid of my keys," said Amal Graafstra, a Washington state native who has had an implant for more than a year.

But the boundaries have stretched.

Sklar spends much of his time building a trampoline that shoots fireballs when jumped on, and because trampolines attract children and fireballs cause harm, his access tag ensures security for the project.

If we think the boundaries of implantable RFID microchips have been stretched to this point, what lies ahead, as seen in Bible prophecy, is going to be anything but "cool." In fact, where this technology is heading, which is toward becoming a form of identification, tracking, and financial device all rolled into one, is already being seen in the news of our world today, as seen in the following excerpt taken from the same ABC News report, which can be read in its entirety via the link provided above (emphasis added mine):

VeriChip, a company that offers implantable, wearable and attachable forms of RFID technology, markets its products with safety in mind. Their chips store medical information, can be used to track babies and the elderly, and manage assets. The company also teamed with clubs in Barcelona, Spain, and the Netherlands to grant VIP access to those embedded with the chip and allow them to pay with a swipe of the hand. "That was pretty much a publicity stunt," Graaftsra said.

None of the above, I assure you, having read numerous articles on the topic, is a publicity stunt! These are uses for the technology which are clearly under development! For that matter, who knows? The widespread use of implantable microchip technologies for financial transactions may already be possible, but aren't being fully promoted at this time, giving the media time to soften those up who will be resistant to where this technology is ultimately leading mankind.

To be sure, the VeriChip, in its present form, isn't the mark of the beast, but it could easily become it in the prophetic future. All that is needed is for the Rapture to take place, the Antichrist and his False Prophet to begin seizing control of the world as prophecy tells us they will, and the system to be rolled out as a sign of allegiance to the Antichrist at a point after which the Antichrist has opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, blasphemed His name, His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven, as well as made war with the saints, and overcome them, gaining power over all kindreds, tongues, and nations in the process, as seen in Revelation 13:6-7.

Revelation 13:8 tells us "all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." As such, those who follow the Antichrist will gladly receive his mark when it becomes available. Tribulation saints, however, those who have come to faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in the aftermath of the Rapture of the Church, will not. By no means will these swear allegiance to a man who lifts his name above Christ's!

Wise are those who will refuse to take the mark when it becomes mandatory as those who do accept it will commit an unpardonable sin, as detailed in Revelation 14:9-11:

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

I could go on and on, but I'll pause for now. I will, after all, get plenty more chances to address this in the future, that is unless the Rapture of the Church takes place before I get an opportunity to.
