A Globe and Mail article on the topic opens as follows:

Ottawa — It's like Woodstock for conspiracy theorists.

A serene suburban setting has been transformed into a four-day festival of black suits, black limousines, burly security guards — and suspicions of world domination.

On the outskirts of the nation's capital, a tony high-rise hotel beside a golf course is hosting the annual meeting for one of the world's most secretive and powerful societies.

It's not the Freemasons.

Forget those fabled U.S. military men who tucked away UFOs in the Arizona desert.

These guys, you've probably never even heard of, and if you believe the camera-toting followers who attend all their meetings, they control the world.

They're called the Bilderberg group.

I know what you're thinking. If a meeting of the Bilderberg Group is so secret, how do we even know it took place, right? We know because, invariably, the meeting's location will leak out. What typically follows that taking place leads to an even greater understanding of just how secret this secret society is, an example of which is found in a WorldNetDaily story on the topic of this year's meeting, which took place yesterday at the Brookstreet Hotel in Ottawa, Canada.

In this year's story on the event, we find that a reporter from the Ottawa Citizen "was told by local police officials that security was being handled by Global Risk Holdings. However, upon reaching Alan Bell, president of the company, the reporter was told: "Never heard of that conference. What is it? What do they do?""

Even the name of the company handling security, Global Risk Handling, sounds new world order-ish doesn't it? That is if you believe the company even knows what the Bilderberg Group is - the group they provided security for yesterday - or did they?

It's all so mysterious you see, these secret societies where we're repeatedly told that no one present seeks to reach a consensus on any "big issues." It's just "a place for discussion" concerning things you and I don't need to know about - things so secret no one present at the top secret meetings is allowed to tell us what they are.

To be so informal and insignificant, the Bilderberg Group sure keeps their friendly little gatherings hushed, don't they? Perhaps, it's because the Bilderberg Group isn't nearly as innocuous as it would have us to believe. Consider the following excerpt from the WorldNetDaily story (emphasis added mine):

According to sources that have penetrated the high-security meetings in the past, the Bilderberg meetings emphasize a globalist agenda and promote the idea that the notion of national sovereignty is antiquated and regressive.

"It's officially described as a private gathering," noted a BBC report in 2003, "but with a guest list including the heads of European and American corporations, political leaders and a few intellectuals, it's one of the most influential organizations on the planet."

And according to a BBC report on 2004's conference in Stresa: "Not a word of what is said at Bilderberg meetings can be breathed outside. No reporters are invited in and while confidential minutes of meetings are taken, names are not noted. The shadowy aura extends further – the anonymous answerphone message, for example; the fact that conference venues are kept secret. The group, which includes luminaries such as Henry Kissinger and former UK chancellor Kenneth Clarke, does not even have a website."

Oh yes, Virginia, there is a new world order in the works! You better believe it!

Inch by inch, secret meeting by secret meeting, we're moving toward the creation of a new world order that is prophesied in the Bible - a one-world government which, in the prophetic future, will be headed by the Antichrist - a leader of Roman descent who will confirm a seven-year covenant of peace in the Middle East between Israel and her enemies, kicking off the seven-year Tribulation Period that will lead to the final confrontation between the powers and principalities presently calling the shots in this world and the returning Christ at the battle of Armageddon. Far-fetched? Oh no! It's coming around to be sure, as I and many others who make it our business to educate a world that has forgotten its God continue to document, as disturbing as it is at times to do so.

Let's look at a few items in the news of our world today that the Bilderberg Group may have had some meaningless discussion about at its meeting, not that they discuss anything that matters to commoners like you and I.

Is ancient Babylon (modern Iraq) going to have a permanent Western military presence?

Recently, I've written several commentaries on startling developments taking place in ancient Babylon of potential interest to those of us watching for the return of Jesus Christ. The latest development is this, as reported by Reuters: Congressional Republicans have killed a provision in an Iraq war funding bill that would have (past tense) put the United States on record against the permanent basing of U.S. military facilities in that country. The bill in question is expected to be approved by Congress next week according to the article and sent to President Bush to be signed into law.

Excerpt from the article of interest:

While the Pentagon does not necessarily plan to use any of the emergency funds to establish a permanent military presence in Iraq, congressional Democrats wanted Congress to be on record against such a long-term military arrangement.

Doing so, they argued, could help overcome Middle East fears that the United States intended to control the region militarily, at least in part to oversee foreign oil reserves.

If a new world order is in the works, a vital part of it being successful is dependent on those wanting to wield power having military control over, as well as access to, the one thing every nation on the planet needs in order to function economically. That would be black gold, also known as oil. I think Bilderberg attendees could've discussed that, assuming the Bilderberg Group truly has a globalist agenda as rumored, which we don't know for sure nor need to know, of course.

The United Nations needs an overhaul?

British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who has been to at least one Bilderberg Group meeting, reportedly in 1998, recently "set out a sweeping blueprint yesterday for a new international order, built around an overhauled United Nations, an enlarged G8, and a multilateral system for the supply of enriched uranium for peaceful nuclear energy," according to an Independent Online article.

An overhauled United Nations, an enlarged G8, and a system for supplying uranium to prevent squabbles like the present conflict the West is having with pesky Iran and its maniacal president? I think the Bilderberg Group, if it actually has a globalist agenda as rumored, probably held some very informal and unimportant discussions concerning Mr. Blair's plan. Come to think of it, let's be realistic here. What secret society wouldn't want to discuss a sweeping blueprint for a new international order to be built? You show me a secret society that doesn't want to talk about that and I'll show you one that won't be nearly as secret as the Bilderberg Group is!

The revived Roman empire still doesn't have a constitution, but they're working on it!

Recently, as I've documented, the European Union foreign policy machine has been working overtime under the watchful eye of its High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy and Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union, Dr. Javier Solana. Last week alone, Solana visited Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in Jerusalem, and representatives of the Iranian government in Tehran where he presented a new package of incentives on behalf of the entire western world, seeking to resolve the Iranian nuclear fuel enrichment crisis, which anyone with half a brain knows is symbolic of a covert Iranian effort to gain possession of a nuclear weapon --- or twenty.

It has long been known that France's Jaques Chirac was hoping to see the presently derailed European Union constitution approved, which would've streamlined European Union decision-making on foreign policy matters considerably by giving the EU a permanent president, as well as elevating Solana to the position of EU Foreign Minister. It's a vision Chirac has never given up on and, apparently, isn't going to have to, thanks in part to his working relationship with German leader Angela Merkel, who has set getting the EU constitution back on track as a top priority. Merkel hopes to see some type of action taken on the document by 2008, as seen in an EU Observer article.

15 of the EU's 25 member nations have already ratified the EU constitution, but much needs to be done to get the document approved by the other 10, an accomplishment that would add considerable clout to the EU's foreign policy mechanisms, which those of us watching for fulfillment of Bible prophecy have an interest in. Why? Because Daniel 9:26-27 tells us a leader of Roman descent is going to make a bold foreign policy decision in the prophetic future where Middle East peace is concerned - an event which will be preceded by the Rapture of the Church. Why will this move take place after the Rapture? Because it will mark the advent of the son of perdition, commonly referred to as the Antichrist, and the onset of the Tribulation Period.

Not only will this leader of Roman descent, whose identity is presently unknown and will, in all likelihood, remain so until after the Rapture of the Church has taken place, make a bold foreign policy decision, he will do it strengthfully when he confirms a seven-year covenant in the Middle East "with many." By the mention of the "many" who will join him in his covenant, we know it will be strongly supported by the international community.

Interestingly, as the future of the EU's constitution is being weighed and we look at what prophecy tells us is coming, one portion of what the approved document would have created is still under discussion within the European Commission as noted in an EU Observer article - an EU diplomatic service which would be headed by current EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana.

An EU Commission concept paper entitled "Europe in the world – some practical proposals for greater coherence, effectiveness and visibility" clearly swings wide the door for discussions to take place that may eventually see portions of the yet-to-be-ratified EU constitution become a reality, whether the constitution itself is ratified Union-wide or not. I say that because of what we find stated on the EU's External Relations website concerning the significance of this paper, which the site tells us is viewed as a proposal to strengthen the European Union's role as a "global actor."

Could strengthened EU external relations, powered by a newly-formed European Union diplomatic service, lift the European Union's role as a global actor as well as pave the way for a leader of Roman descent to arrive on the world's diplomatic stage as a heroic peacemaker in the Middle East? Quite possibly and, if so, I'd be willing to bet that a secret society like the Bilderberg Group, assuming it has a globalist agenda, probably supports the idea being presented by the EU Commission.

Would a new world order want to control the flow of information?

Would a new world order want to control the flow of information on television, radio, and the worldwide web? Absolutely! In today's society where common sense and rationality seems to be a thing of the past, he who controls the flow of information (or misinformation) rules! In like manner, anyone having a globalist agenda would have to consider the impact websites like the one you're presently reading has on their ability to control the collective mindset of society. While television and radio air time is expensive, access to the worldwide web has, thus far, been unrestricted and affordable.

As Satan is a liar and the father of it, the one thing he doesn't want going on is truth being spread. He would prefer that a world that has forgotten its God never remember Him by accidentally stumbling across an online article by the American Family Association, a commentary on the end times, or a website-hosted sermon by Dr. Ed Hindson of World Prophetic Ministry to name a few.

As this is common knowledge where Satan is concerned, we know that a new world order, should there be one in the works, would similarly want to ensure that certain information comes across computer screens easier than others. Bearing that in mind, don't look now but RaptureAlert.com may eventually be pinched out of existence if lobbyists backing major telephone companies have their way! Let me explain.

As reported by Save the Internet, the U.S. House of Representatives sold out the public on June 8, 2006, by voting against an amendment that would make Net Neutrality enforceable. What is "Net Neutrality" you ask? Something you need to get active politically in protecting!

"Net Neutrality" is defined as follows on the "Save the Internet" site (emphasis added mine):

Network Neutrality — or "Net Neutrality" for short — is the guiding principle that preserves the free and open Internet.

Net Neutrality ensures that all users can access the content or run the applications and devices of their choice. With Net Neutrality, the network's only job is to move data — not choose which data to privilege with higher quality service.

Net Neutrality is the reason why the Internet has driven economic innovation, democratic participation, and free speech online. It's why the Internet has become an unrivaled environment for open communications, civic involvement and free speech.

Reading what is in bold type above, can you see how the elimination of Net Neutrality could harm a ministry like RaptureAlert.com? Imagine how long RaptureAlert.com would remain a viable source of information if it was moved to the slow lane of the internet due to yours truly being incapable of paying what we can be sure will be pricey fees associated with moving data across the web if the concept of Net Neutrality is abandoned. In that scenario, telephone companies and, perhaps, wealthy elitist secret societies like the Bilderberg Group, could buy up the internet's fast lane, in keeping with the theme of this commentary, leaving many Christian websites (other than those of the mega-churches) incapable of competing financially, effectively silencing them.

It has been said that knowledge is power. How true! In the Word of God, in Hosea 4:6, the Lord speaks of a people destroyed for lack of knowledge. If Net Neutrality is lost and the threat, according to Save the Internet, is genuine, many souls could be lost in the process as Bible prophecy isn't taught in most churches these days, due to being too "controversial." If anyone thinks that Satan wouldn't love to get a law passed that would silence voices opposed to the godlessness of this present age, many of which can only be heard through the worldwide web, think again! The same is true of proponents of a new world order, assuming one is actively being planned.

Christians, I strongly suggest you read up on Net Neutrality by reading Save the Internet's FAQ page. Additionally, I recommend that you find out where your elected officials stand on the issue and urge them to protect Net Neutrality, lest many in these end times be destroyed for a lack of knowledge.

Do I think the Bilderberg Group may have discussed an issue like this yesterday in Ottawa? Sure! Even if they didn't, they can't call me a liar for suggesting it as a possibility! That would be because they're not allowed to discuss what it is they discuss at said meetings which neither you nor I need to know anyhow, at least from their perspective.

If anyone sees a complete list of this year's Bilderberg attendees floating around on the web, I'd like to get a copy of it, if only to see who are likely candidates to be Hillary Clinton's running mate in 2008, as well as get an idea who will be running atop the GOP's ticket. No, I'm not kidding. In the 2004 US presidential elections, two members of the same exact secret society, Skull & Bones members John Kerry and George W.Bush, squared off against one another for the White House. I point that out to illustrate the fact that, despite denials made by both of them downplaying the significance of their secret society memberships, what goes on when secret societies like the Bilderberg Group meet can be quite significant, especially in these end times.
