| China trusts the EU's Solana and whatever he does?

It has to be one of the most thought-provoking comments I've ever seen come from a Chinese leader concerning a leader from the Western world. As reported by Fars News Agency, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, speaking on the topic of the EU's de facto foreign minister Javier Solana conducting nuclear negotations with Iran, is on the record as saying he "has full trust in Solana himself and whatever he does."
Since when does Red China fully trust the West to handle a matter of such importance to worldwide stability as the ongoing talks between Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani and Javier Solana? Is it because China knows that today's EU - the rising Beast described in Bible prophecy that it is - will be just as weak-stomached in dealing with Iran as it was in dealing with Iraq that it won't act militarily or suggest anyone do so to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear weapon-armed nation? Or could it be that China fully understands that the EU will broker some type of toothless deal that will allow Iran to continue to covertly work on its nuclear weapons program much as the impotent United Nations allowed Saddam to rub the international community's nose in the dirt as he worked on weapons of mass destruction for over a decade which many of us, myself included, believe did in fact exist prior to the US-Iraq war (Part Two) and still do somewhere inside Syria's borders? Or could it be a bit of both? The fact that China, which has been providing weapons to Iran along with Russia, is so trusting of Solana makes me sure that whatever the outcome of Solana's mission is going to be, China is as sure as it possibly can be that the ultimate outcome will be anything but good news for the USA. Of that I believe we can be certain!
That any world power on the scale of China, given what Iran's Ahmadinejad said during his recent UN General Assembly speech, a portion of which is featured in a WorldNetDaily story, wouldn't want whatever is necessary done to prevent the Iranian madman from obtaining a nuclear sword to swing in the name of Allah amazes me! At the UN, Ahmadinejad said, in part:
"I emphatically declare that today's world, more than ever before, longs for just and righteous people with love for all humanity; and above all longs for the perfect righteous human being and the real savior who has been promised to all peoples and who will establish justice, peace and brotherhood on the planet," Ahmadinejad said. "Oh, Almighty God, all men and women are your creatures and you have ordained their guidance and salvation. Bestow upon humanity that thirsts for justice, the perfect human being promised to all by you, and make us among his followers and among those who strive for his return and his cause."
Who is this perfect righteous human being and real savior who is to establish justice, peace, and brotherhood on our planet in the future? If you're thinking the answer is Jesus Christ, who walked this earth both in human flesh and as it's real Savior and God, you are 100% correct. Sadly, however, that isn't who Ahmadinejad is referring to! He is referring to Islam's Messiah, the Mahdi - a leader the WorldNetDaily story indicates Islam records "will reign on earth for seven years, before bringing about a final judgment and the end of the world."
If you're presently noting that the Islamic view of the end times seems to take an opposing view of biblical prophecy, you're correct. While Bible prophecy reveals an Antichrist will wickedly rule the world for seven years, the Islamic version sees its Messiah, referred to as the Mahdi or 12th imam, ruling the world for seven years. In the Christian version, the ultimate human embodiment of evil is yet to come while in the Islamic version the ultimate heroic human being is about to appear on the world stage. An interesting contrast, huh?
It's especially interesting, in my opinion, that Iran's Ahmadinejad talks as he did recently and the press at large pays little to no attention to it. Not only that, it doesn't seem to set off any alarms in the West except for in the halls of government in the United States. On the other hand, Venezuela's Hugo Chavez can stand in the UN General Assembly and draw giggles while referring to President Bush as "the devil" and draw all kinds of media attention!
Presently, the United States of America is more hated globally, in my opinion, than it has ever been in recorded history. At a time when the greatest threat to its national security is biding his sweet Iranian time talking with the European Union's Javier Solana, Iranian centrifuges are busily spitting out enriched uranium that may someday result in the USA's destruction as a world power. While America's leaders should be calling for Americans everywhere to hit their knees in repentance and prayer for our nation's survival, that isn't happening. Rather, our nation is busying itself with betraying God's chosen people, the children of Israel, as seen in a Jerusalem Newswire article, by agreeing to work with a government led in no small part by Hamas terrorists to create a Palestinian state on Israel's covenant lands. So much for the war on terror, huh?
While China may fully trust the EU's Javier Solana and whatever he does, I certainly don't. Why? Because the EU isn't looking to be a superpower in the world; it is looking to be the superpower in the world! Bible prophecy says it's going to happen and Ezekiel 38-39 demonstrates that, despite all the rumors of a major conflict taking place between the United States, Israel and Iran due to Iran's refusal to cease its nuclear weapons program, Iran is going to either remain a militarily-viable power to participate in the prophesied Gog-Magog attack or recover enough to be such at the appointed time. It leaves me wondering where this ongoing nuclear saga is headed from here.
Sadly, I can't say I trust our own national leaders to look out for our best interests any more than I can trust Iran, the EU or China! In the Bible we're told that God will bless those that bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. Every time President Bush talks of his support of a Palestinian state being born on Israel's covenant lands, he is endangering the safety of the only nation that God Himself has promised will remain a nation as long as the stars, sun, and moon remain an ordinance. That nation, as seen in Jeremiah 31:35-36, is Israel. The survival of the United States of America has no such guarantee upon it!
While I pray the Lord's hand of judgment will be witheld from the United States of America for the sake of His Church until the Rapture occurs, I am beginning to feel a bit queasy as to why it may be so very hard to find the United States of America in Bible prophecy.
Keep looking up, Christians!
