Weather Turmoil and Pestilential Epidemic

As RaptureAlert.com's Dr. Scott Sykes, author of "Signs Of The Coming Christ", made clear during his presentation of what I'm calling the "RaptureAlert.com Road Show" last night in Christiansburg VA, there are many irrefutable signs in the world around us pointing to the soon-coming return of Jesus Christ - so many that he and I stood side-by-side after the service concluded asking one another, "How in the world do people not realize that we're living in the end times prophesied in the Word of God?" We, naturally, agreed on a number of reasons this is true, as well as why it's so important that the work we have undertaken in trying to turn the eyes of a world that has forgotten its God toward His face passionately continue until the Lord either calls us out of here via the Rapture of the Church or we pass from this life via other means.

Before I get into the meat of this commentary, I want to encourage all my site's readers to consider inviting Scott to pay a visit to your house of worship to encourage those of you who are patiently awaiting the return of our Lord and Savior to continue being faithful in doing so, as well as inspire you to reach out to those around you that you may have considered telling about Jesus Christ and their need to come to know Him as Lord and Savior but haven't for whatever reason. I promise you this: One service or a few with Scott is guaranteed to open the eyes of those watching for the return of Jesus Christ even more than they are now, as well as convict the heart of anyone present to hear him speak concerning their need to come to faith in Christ if they have delayed in making that all important decision. All around us are signs of the coming Christ, which is good news for all those who've placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior! Brother Scott is ready and waiting to hear from readers of the site and, like I am, thrilled to have the opportunity to share the joy that resides within the two of us that a brighter day is fast approaching for the believer with anyone that is willing to provide him a podium from which to do so! Yes, brothers and sisters in Christ, our Lord is coming soon! SOON! Rejoice in that truth!

Now to the topics of today's commentary, which are predictions of weather turmoil ahead and a new pestilential epidemic presently coming into play in Panama.

Weather Turmoil

NEWS.com.au is reporting that "the world's top polluting nations have been told to prepare for decades of weather turmoil, even if they act now to curb emissions and pursue green energy sources" by environment and energy ministers meeting in the Mexican city of Monterrey. Do decades of weather turmoil lying ahead indicate that we're nearing the return of Jesus Christ? I certainly think so, as I'm about to reveal.

The article quotes the British government's chief scientific adviser, David King, as saying that "even if countries froze emission levels tomorrow, the world still faces 30 years of floods, heatwaves, hurricanes and coastal erosion." Think on that a moment.

We could expect 30 years of weather turmoil if action was taken to protect our environment right now - this very second! But that isn't going to happen, is it? Of course not, which means the next three decades, assuming for a moment that the world has another three decades before fulfillment of the Bible's remaining unfulfilled prophecies takes place, is going to see horrible floods, heatwaves, famine, hurricanes, coastal erosion and the like.

Are not all these things evidence of a world spiraling out of control? You better believe it - and it's only going to get worse! The fact little to nothing is being done to control the environmental damage our planet is sustaining daily only serves to remind us of that.

The frightening weather turmoil scientists are telling us would occur if we put a halt to the damage being done right now, as in today, logically assures us that these conditions are going to multiply in intensity because we're not putting a stop it!

Jesus said of the end times, as recorded in Luke 21:25, "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;"

Christ Himself told us that noticeable weather turmoil would mark the times leading up to His return. Once again, we see that science is agreeing with Bible prophecy. Who would've guessed, right?

Pestilential Epidemic

A mysterious illness in Panama has set off an epidemic alert, as a result of 17 people dying and 10 others suffering but recovering thus far from fever, diarrhea and partial paralysis, according to a NEWS.com.au article. The disease, whatever it is, doesn't seem contagious but its origins thus far appear to be unknown.

Jesus told us, concerning the times leading up to His return, as recorded in Matthew 24:7, "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places."

Much as mankind's mismanagement of his dominion over the earth has and is continuing to lead us into weather turmoil predicted in Bible prophecy, the same can be said of infectious diseases. Consider the following human activities Wikipedia indicates is leading to the emergence and spread of many new diseases, one of which has prophetic implications itself:

Encroachment on wildlife habitats. The construction of new villages and housing developments in rural areas brings people into contact with animals--and the microbes they harbor.
Changes in agriculture. The introduction of new crops attracts new crop pests and the microbes they carry to farming communities, exposing people to unfamiliar diseases.
Destroying rain forests. As tropical countries make use of their rain forests, building roads through forests and clearing areas for settlement or commercial ventures, people encounter insects and other animals harboring unknown microorganisms.
Uncontrolled urbanization. The rapid growth of cities in many developing countries concentrates large numbers of people in crowded areas with poor sanitation, which foster the transmission of contagious diseases.
Modern transport. Ships and other cargo carriers often harbor unintended "passengers," such as insects and rats, that can spread diseases to faraway destinations.
High-speed globe-trotting. With international jet-airplane travel, people infected with a new disease can carry the disease to the far side of the world before their first symptoms appear.

High-speed globe-trotting? Yes, that's in end times Bible prophecy too, just as end times pestilences are.

Daniel 12:4: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Mankind's ability to run to and fro about the earth, high-speed globe-trotting if you will, is unique to our generation. Daniel 12:4 associates that with the time of the end.

Each and every day of my life I find myself in near breathless wonder at the accuracy of Bible prophecy as it relates to events taking place in our world today. Not only are the signs of Christ's coming all around us, many of them, as I just demonstrated, are intertwined one with another, one issue playing a prominent role in the other and vice versa.

Jesus is coming soon and I'm sure of it! That's why I spend so much time working on RaptureAlert.com's content. With all my heart, I want to sound the alert that Jesus Christ is coming soon to a lost and dying world!

If there is someone in your life you need to tell about Jesus Christ, this is the time to do it! Why? Because the Rapture of the Church could occur at any moment, without any warning whatsoever beyond that which is written in prophecy concerning what the end times will look like, which is extraordinarily similar in detail to our world today.
