Here lies the United States - Friend of Palestine

A Jerusalem Newswire commentary on recent events is entitled Rice: No greater legacy than ‘Palestine’. Condoleeza Rice believes that? It seems so. How tragic and dangerous that position is, as I'm about to explain.

If the creation of a state called 'Palestine', to be founded on covenant lands God Himself gave to the nation of Israel, has any potential to be a so-called "legacy" of this great nation, it has to be, perhaps, the saddest statement concerning the land so many of our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought and died for that I have ever heard spoken of! To be sure, it's disgraceful!

Condoleeza Rice's recent statements on this topic read more like epitaphs than descriptions of America's greatest possible 'legacy'. In fact, if a gravestone were to be made for the United States of America as a result of God's judgment falling on it for its love of the concept of 'Palestine', a nice wording for the epitaph would be: Here lies the United States - Friend of Palestine.

In a Jerusalem Post article wherein she likens the cause of the Palestinian people to the United States' battle for independence, US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice is quoted as saying the following before a recent gathering of the American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP), "I believe that there could be no greater legacy for America than to help to bring into being a Palestinian state for a people who have suffered too long, who have been humiliated too long, who have not reached their potential for too long, and who have so much to give to the international community and to all of us."

Oh, the plight of the Palestinians! Oh, the terrible suffering and humiliation they have been forced to endure! Oh, the potential the Palestinians have to be a force for good in the world! If only Israel would just give them some more of her God-given covenant lands lands that they might kill the Jewish people more effectively --- and us as well, of course!

While Condoleeza Rice is nuzzling with the enemies of Almighty God and, yes, that is precisely what anyone is who endangers the nation of Israel by allowing its terrorist enemies to enclose it even more than now, some of the "goodwill ambassadors" of the Palestinian government, democratically elected by a majority of these same wonderful Palestinians no less, are considering how they can reward us for being so kind and supportive of their unrighteous cause.

As seen in a Jerusalem Post article, the terrorist arm of the Palestinian government, namely Hamas, is debating an attack on US targets in the Middle east. This, RaptureAlert.com readers, demonstrates both the truth of Bible prophecy and the error of what our Secretary of State thinks is going to be good for America and the world, namely the creation of a Palestinian state! And if we think we can improve on our government this November or in the next five we're gravely mistaken as the only thing that could be worse for American foreign policy to be handled by the GOP, as hard as that is to say in light of this disgraceful exhibition, is for us to empower liberals like Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, John "I voted for it before I voted against it" Kerry and screaming Howard Dean to have a greater voice in Washington than they do now! Truly, I fear for this nation - and I'm not kidding, if only for this one issue in the news of our world today! Even so, isn't what we're seeing the birth pains, at the very least, of what we've been warned will ultimately come to pass? Yes, as disgusting and nauseatingly irritating as it is to witness.

Zechariah 14:2: For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Slowly but surely America's support for Israel is waning in favor of Israel's enemies bent on her destruction, ever so slowly joining the crowd it once steered clear of out of respect for the Word of God. Though it seems to be, from a purely secular viewpoint, the best way for our leaders to deal with the present geopolitical realities of our nutty world today, it is a deadly error to be sure for God's promise is this to the nation of Israel, as recorded in Genesis 12:3: "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."

'Palestine', to be sure, is anything but America's greatest possible legacy. It is, rather, a curse upon this nation to support the creation of same on Israel's covenant lands. If we continue to mock God by supporting the abominable concept of 'Palestine', He will judge America, potentially very severely.

May God open the eyes of our leaders!
