| Blazing the trail to Middle East peace

The Quartet's roadmap to Middle East peace isn't working, according to Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos, whom a Fox News story refers to as "one of Europe's foremost voices on the Middle East." Not only is Moratinos saying it isn't working, he is saying it is "doomed" and "a major new initiative is needed to resolve the conflict."
The following is an excerpt from the story:
"Everyone agrees that sooner or later there will be a peace conference," he said. "I can say that the government is discussing and sharing ideas and proposals, even with the United States, in reference to paths for the future of the region."
A peace conference! Remember that I recently commented that one was being considered to be held in Madrid, Spain reminiscent to the 1991 Madrid peace conference that became the catalyst for the Oslo peace process? I wrote about that on 9-27-06 and here it is in the news yet again - on the eve of EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana traveling to the Middle East no less where he will be through October 29th!
And there's more of significance to be noted in this latest bit of news! Moratinos, we see in the story, told a parliamentary panel today that Europe has a historic opportunity to take the lead in pushing for fresh talks!
Could it be that Javier Solana's visit to the Middle East is going to include an invitation for the Israelis and Palestinians to confer, potentially in the heart of the revived Roman empire of Bible prophecy, to discuss resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? If so and both sides agree to meet, will a prince (or leader) of Roman descent emerge from such a conference, potentially in the not-too-distant future, as the secular world's "prince of peace" - a man who somehow, against what seems to be insurmountable odds at this moment in human history, found a way to convince two bitter enemies to agree to a seven-year covenant of peace? One never knows, but the odds of such an event occurring rise with each and every passing day as each day brings us closer to the Rapture of the Church - an event that will precede the advent of the Antichrist!
If there's anything about the Fox News story that rings loud and clear that the Rapture of the Church is drawing near, at the very least conditionally, it's these words: Europe has a historic opportunity to take the lead in pushing for fresh talks.
For literally years now I've been telling readers of RaptureAlert.com to keep their eyes open for something to take place that would put the European Union, which the Antichrist will someday rise to lead to global supremacy, in the driver's seat in the quest to 'confirm' peace in the Middle East. While I've had more than a few people question the soundness of my mind, probably much as Noah's contemporaries questioned his when he was building the ark before the great Flood came and carried them all away, guess which world power prophesied to exist in the end times is now posturing itself to blaze the trail to Middle East peace? That would be the revived Roman empire we commonly refer to as the European Union!
Years ago, when I was far more testosterone driven than I am today, I used to enjoy watching a television show called "The A-Team." The A-Team's leader, one Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith, would invariably say, in every episode if memory serves me correctly, "I love it when a plan comes together!"
While I'm no "Hannibal" Smith by any means, I love it when a plan comes together myself, particularly when the plan in question is God's prophetic plan! Why? Because, depending on how things go, the next scheduled event in that plan may well be the Rapture of the Church!
What's not to love about that, eh Christians?
