Mr. Peace and Safety?

In my last commentary, I highlighted the fact that Italy is trying to "activate" the European Union in Middle East peacemaking, noting that the next key development on the Middle East peacemaking front may come in mid-December when the EU's foreign ministers will next meet, as seen in a Haaretz article.

As I stated earlier, if European Union Foreign Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner has her way, the new EU-led peace plan I've spoken of recently, which is being pushed by Italy, France and Spain, will be brought before EU leaders for potential approval at that time, Ferrero-Waldner believing that "while the peace initiative is positive, the EU should speak with a single voice on foreign policy matters."

My question posed in relation to the "single voice on EU foreign policy matters" was which EU leader would come forward to be the single voice of the revived Roman empire of Bible prophecy in a literal sense if this plan takes root. Would it be Romano Prodi? Javier Solana? Tony Blair? Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero? Silvio Berlusconi? Perhaps the answer is the obvious one, as I'm about to demonstrate: Javier Solana, foreign policy chief of the European Union.

An Islamic Republic News Agency article dated 6-22-06 reveals that Solana received the Carnegie-Wateler Peace Prize 2006 in The Hague on Thursday for his "incessant efforts towards international peace and security as a representative of the European Union." There are those words again (peace and security) that are synonymous with Bible prophecy, particularly associated with the advent of Antichrist and his seven-year covenant of peace that will begin the seven-year Tribulation Period, which will be preceded by the Rapture of the Church.

1st Thessalonians 5:3: For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

The word 'peace', as seen in 1st Thessalonians 5:3, is self-explanatory, but the word 'safety', as I've shown in the past, is asphaleia {as-fal'-i-ah}in the original Greek text, one definition of which is: security from enemies and dangers. The term 'peace and security', as such, is interchangeable with the term 'peace and safety.'

While I would never finger anyone as the Antichrist in the making, I've documented time and time again that the international community is almost uniformly convinced that the only way to achieve peace and safety in the Middle East and, indeed, the world is to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

If the EU gets behind Italy, Spain and France's new peace initiative when its foreign ministers convene in a few weeks, who better than Javier Solana, the EU's High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, to carry the newest Middle East peace initiative to the region, especially at this moment when he has just received an award for his "incessant efforts towards international peace and security as a representative of the European Union?" Quite frankly, I'm not sure there is any other logical choice to do so, which may make for some very interesting prophetic watching in the weeks and months ahead with Solana now having been honored as a great peacemaker at The Hague, which Wikipedia states is an "international city of peace and justice."

When I see peacemaking praise of the magnitude seen in this instance extended to a leader of Roman descent like Javier Solana and the terms used to describe his peacemaking prowess are synonymous with the words we see recorded in Bible prophecy no less, I feel obligated to inform my readers of that.

Not only is all the peacemaking glory being bestowed on Solana of interest, one of the parties he had a private audience with during his visit to The Hague, as seen in an EU press release, was Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, who is a long-time member of both the Club of Rome and the Bilderberg group, both of which are organizations strongly tied to efforts to bring about a new world order, according to conspiracy theorists around the globe.

During Solana's acceptance speech, after grabbing up the Carnegie-Wateler Peace Prize, in what I find some very interesting language as we look at Daniel 9:27, Solana said the following of the revived Roman empire he represents (emphasis added mine):

In many ways, the European Union is one big mediation and conflict resolution machine, based on law and non-stop negotiations. This puts us in a position to not only advocate preventive diplomacy but also to implement it.

As everyone knows, I don't single out any one player on the world's diplomatic stage as the Antichrist in the making but point to interesting events surrounding all the world's powerful leaders who give us cause to believe their actions could be bringing us closer to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy! Whether it's President Bush pressuring Israel into giving up more of its covenant lands for peace in defiance of Almighty God, Italy's Romano Prodi seeking to activate the EU in Middle East peacemaking, Spain's Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero conceiving an Alliance of Civilizations that has clear new world order undertones, or Javier Solana associating with powerful new world order proponents and receiving international notoriety as a peacemaker, I comment on as many of them as I can. Why? Because I want my site's readers to know about all these things and remain aware at all times that the prophesied "son of perdition" may be waiting in the wings at this very hour, the only thing holding him back being the Church's restraining influence as a result of all true believers being indwelt by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said of those who believe in Him, as recorded in Matthew 5:14: "Ye are the light of the world."

If "the light of the world" should be caught up out of it via the Rapture of the Church, what would remain? Darkness, followed by the advent of Antichrist and the onset of the Tribulation Period. The prophetic stage, as I continue to demonstrate, is being set for that to occur with any number of powerful and influential world leaders potentially in position to step into the role of Antichrist, all of them salivating at the chance to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and usher in a new era of "peace and safety."

Who is Mr. Peace and Safety? While I have no idea as to his identity, I thoroughly believe he's out there somewhere in our world today because of issues like those raised in this commentary. If you believe as I do, this is a great time to do some soul-searching if you have never come to faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! If you are, like me, a Bible-believing Christian, these and many other developments taking place in the world around us should have your eyes looking skyward as mine are daily!

I'd tell you to keep on lifting up your head because your redemption draws nigh, but your neck is probably cramped from being in that upward-looking position for so long.

Amen to that, but it's a GOOD thing - a really, really good thing for the saints, all of us, to be looking for the return of our Blessed Savior, "even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come." (1st Thessalonians 1:10)
