| A Solar Tsunami?

On December 6th, the Iraq Study Group's report, which I commented on extensively yesterday was released. By December 7th, U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair were telling reporters that they are both committed to a Palestinian state next to Israel. Now we're learning that Ahmed Yousuf, chief political advisor to Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, according to a WorldNetDaily story, has told the Maannews Palestinian news website that Hamas officials have recently met with high-ranking American figures, "especially members of the Democratic party."
Not good! Not good at all!
A Reuters report dated December 7th, one day after the Iraq Study Group's report was released and the precise day the United States recommitted itself to the creation of a Palestinian state on Israel's God-given covenant lands, opened as follows (emphasis added mine):
The United States, which has emerged from this year's hurricane season largely unscathed, should brace itself for a potentially devastating hurricane season in 2007, a leading windstorm forecaster warned.
According to a Space.com article dated December 8th, scientists observed what is being referred to as a "solar tsunami" on the surface of the sun "earlier this week." The article indicates it "is unusual to see such an event from a ground-based observatory." It is also unusual, according to the article, that this event occurred "near solar minimum, when the Sun is at its least active during an 11-year cycle."
Luke 21:25: And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
An Israel National News article indicates that incoming Secretary of Defense Robert Gates believes the Iranian threat is "clear and present" but "the U.S. is not guaranteeing protection to Israel."
If it hasn't been clear to everyone up to now, the hour is swiftly coming when no one but God will remain to come to the children of Israel's defense. All around us the world, as well as the heavens, are preparing for the final showdown between good and evil before the visible, physical, bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth.
As an American, I find it exremely distressing that our nation's leadership no longer, as far as I can tell, places any emphasis on the importance of our nation remaining Israel's staunchest ally. Instead, in order to appease those who bow their knee to a god who isn't the one true God, we're doing everything within our power to convince the apple of the Almighty's eye (Zechariah 2:8) to submit to the will of its enemies, hoping that our once-beloved ally doing so will somehow help make us safer! If we want a safer America, that strategy is flawed as time will assuredly reveal.
Although Bible prophecy reveals that Israel will ultimately have to stand alone against its enemies, the fact this is happening on the Body of Christ's watch is disturbing. For the sake of the faithful, I pray that our Lord will come for us quickly that we may escape the wrath the leaders of our nation, few of whom apparently share our fear of God, are inviting upon our lands, ironically in the interest of our peace and safety and our peace and safety alone!
Is there any wonder scientists are seeing "tsunamis" on the surface of our sun and hurricane forecasters are forecasting a wild hurricane season for 2007? Probably not. These are the end times after all, right?
