A Christmas Mark of the Beast Update

Revelation 13:16-17: And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Why do I say we're living in the end times prophesied in the Bible? Because only now, uniquely in our generation, have we seen the ability for a technology such as the one described above to evolve to the point it could be used by the government of the prophesied Antichrist to control the masses, tagging them like cattle while monopolizing the global economy. Most people who read my website regularly know that I am suspicious that an implantable RFID microchip technology like Applied Digital Solution's VeriChip™ could be the mark of the beast in the making.

Bearing the above in mind, I offer you the following update on how RFID technology may be evolving before our very eyes, leading us ever closer to fulfillment of Revelation 13:16-17.

Groundwork is being laid for the mark of the beast in the United States

In the interest of protecting us from terrorists, the Department of Homeland Security has been trying to figure out how to keep terrorists out of our country using, to this point at least, a biometric system to screen people on their way into the country.

An Associated Press article describes the US entry process like this, in part (emphasis added mine):

The entry portion of the program includes biometric features such as digital scans of fingerprints to identify foreign visitors to the U.S. Congress required the program following the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, to keep terrorists from entering the country.

Through the years many people have written to ask me if I believe September 11th had any prophetic significance. As we see in this instance, the fear generated by that horrific day has been effectively used by principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12) to forward an agenda leading us closer to the advent of the Antichrist, a new world order, and the implementation of the mark of the beast.

Ever since 9/11, evil has fed off our collective fears! Our media-driven paranoia has risen over time to the extent that we, all of humanity, have reached a point we're willing to do almost anything to protect ourselves from terrorists, even things that take away from our freedoms.

If we think we've seen the worst of our freedoms being imposed on in the interest of "peace and safety", we haven't seen anything yet as we see in Bible prophecy! In fact, I'll go one further. If our fears have not yet risen to the point that we will permit the governments of the world to monitor our every move, there will be another 9/11 - or worse!

Whatever -and I do mean whatever- is required to make the mark of the beast acceptable to the vast majority of mankind at the appointed time of the Antichrist's rule is going to occur that prophecy might be fulfilled! Having said that, let's look at the other end of the Department of Homeland Security's program designed to monitor visitors from other nations inside our borders, particularly focusing on how we presently know when they have left the nation and what of interest is being considered for the future.

Although the present system being utilized by the Department of Homeland Security apparently works well in terms of foreign visitors making their way into our nation, it is, or so we're led to believe, proving difficult to get them back out. On that topic, the Associated Press article states the following (emphasis added mine):

However, the congressional mandate for a similar biometric exit program has not fared as well. The GAO, Congress' auditing arm, found that implementing a biometrically based exit system similar to the entry system "would require new infrastructure, and would produce major traffic congestion because travelers would have to stop their vehicles upon exit to be processed — an option officials consider unacceptable."

Chertoff said the department intends to implement an exit system for air travelers, focusing on foreigners who aren't Mexican or Canadian. Keeping track of people who leave by land would come later, he said.

He said an exit program for people who cross U.S. borders by land, using current technology and facilities, could create traffic jams 10 to 15 miles long.

Traffic jams!?!? We can't have that in our technologically advanced society, can we? No! Therefore, we need another plan, right? Of course! Enter RFID tracking!

The article continues (emphasis added mine):

Homeland Security Department spokesman Jarrod Agen said the agency has been testing an exit program using radio frequency identification technology rather than biometrics. He said the department is evaluating the results of the RFID testing, including an economic analysis, to see if it would be feasible as an interim measure.

However, the GAO report found that there were performance and reliability problems with the RFID technology, in addition to the failure to meet the congressional mandate to use biometrics.

A more fundamental problem was that "the RFID tag in the visitor's arrival/departure form cannot be physically tied to an individual, which means that while a document may be detected as leaving the country, the person to whom it was issued at time of entry may be somewhere else," the report said.

If that last paragraph didn't blow you out of your seat in terms of prophetic significance, you need to start praying for some discernment right away!

The problem with RFID as an exit program? The RFID tag can't be physically tied to an individual! Osama Bin Laden for example, should he enter our country today, could hand his RFID form off to someone else and stay here, the Department of Homeland Security erroneously thinking he drove into Mexico based on the fact someone standing in for him took his RFID form across the border! Rats! Foiled again! What, oh what, must we do to make this nation safe once again?

(This is where you and I are supposed to think to ourselves, based on the path we're clearly being led down, "What they ought to do is put one of those implantable RFID microchips into his body! That way, if he left, we'd know for sure that he really did!")

Am I stating that the United States government is in collusion with the forces of darkness, trying to bring about the prophesied mark of the beast? No, but I'll tell you this and you can take it to the bank: Our government is, beyond the shadow of a doubt, considering the role implantable microchip technologies could play in making our lands safer at the very least! The worst case scenario is too frightening, quite frankly, to imagine.

Regardless of what is coming, remember the words of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as recorded in Hebrews 13:5-6:

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

It is not for us to know the timing of the Lord's return, but we have no cause, even when frightening things like these arise and we see them before us, to let fear overcome the hope that is within us!

Before the Antichrist rises to power, that which restrains him must be taken out of the way (2nd Thessalonians 2:7)! If reading this is scary to you and you are a Holy Spirit-indwelt Christian, you are the light of the world! Light dispels darkness so here's what you need to do. You need to pray against this technology making headway in our society, specifically asking the Lord to bind the advancement of whatever technology will become the mark of the beast until the Rapture of the Church occurs! When we earnestly pray against evil, we restrain its influence so pray we must!

Groundwork is being laid for the mark of the beast in the European Union

Presently, as we see in a Nordic Wireless Watch article, the EU is "moving briskly to harmonize the radio frequencies for RFID tag and various wireless devices ranging from garage door openers to baby monitors." (And implantable microchip technologies as well, I would fathom a guess.)

The article states: "Under the new rules, consumers will no longer need to worry whether a wireless product bought in one country will work in another, or whether it will disrupt other wireless communications."

So, in the EU, an RFID device you own or possess for one reason or another will work just as well in one place in the European Union as it will in another. Therefore, if you travel from Paris to London, your "baby monitor" will still work correctly. So will your "garage door opener!"

So, I suspect, will your mark of the beast when the time comes for it to be introduced.
