Rice Provides The Sword

By Ray Gano

Well it is looking like the US will not be hosting the wonderful Middle East love-fest at Annapolis next month. In fact the word is that Condi Rice doesn't see it being worth her or the world’s time.

Her reasoning?

Israel is not doing enough to move the peace process forward.

“US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Sunday said they received assurances that the Bush Administration will bring all its weight to bear on Israel to make sure Jerusalem is divided as part of an Israeli-Palestinian final status peace agreement it hopes to oversee at next month's peace summit in Annapolis, Maryland.”

“A senior Palestinian negotiator who took part in the meeting told WorldNetDaily that Rice promised to pressure Israel to halt all Jewish construction in the eastern half of Jerusalem, and to publicly blame Israel for the lack of peace in the region if the upcoming summit breaks down as a result of Israel's failure to surrender the holy city.” Source

We have turned our backs upon God, his ways and precepts as well as the apple of his eye, Israel and the Jewish people. We truly have become very careless in our ways.

So what do we do?

2Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

But second Chronicles is just a start. We must maintain our walk with the Lord through trust, delight, commitment and resting in the Lord. If we do not do this, we will revert back to our evil ways and all will be for just a temporary season.

Do you want to live for the Lord?

Read and follow these precepts.

Psalms 37:3 (KJV) Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Psalms 37:4 (KJV) Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Psalms 37:5 (KJV) Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Psalms 37:6 (KJV) And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Psalms 37:7 (KJV) Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Got Seatbelts?

We may need them if Condi gets her way.
