Philadelphia may be called "the city of brotherly love" for more than one reason - that reason being that brother-on-brother love is so honored that those who don't approve of it may be punished, even if they are trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent in every other manner.

That's right, former Boy Scouts. Philadelphia is so desperate to be homosexual-friendly it is punishing the Boy Scouts of America!

OneNewsNow.com is reporting the following, in part:

The Cradle of Liberty Council of the Boy Scouts of America, which serves about 64,000 scouts in Philadelphia and its suburbs, has been paying $1 a year rent for its downtown office. But recently the city decided that the Scouts must pay the fair market rent of $200,000 a year to remain in that city-owned location because the group "discriminates" against homosexuals.

Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth about Homosexuality, says, "Clearly they have no problem discriminating against this wholesome program even as they pander to homosexual activists. I think it's a sad day for America when cities court homosexual activists promoting deviant sexuality, while they punish wholesome groups like the Boy Scouts."

Philadelphia is taking this action in spite of the fact that in the year 2000 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Boy Scouts could forbid homosexuals to be members of the organization, an act which was in keeping with the organization's Christian heritage.

What times we live in, Christians! Every day I wonder: What next? While I don't know the answer to that question, what I know for sure is that things are going to get worse before they get better. Way worse.

Psalm 38:19-22:

But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.

Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.

Lord, make haste to help us all in this hour when the Boy Scouts of America - one of our most time-honored and meaningful youth organizations - is under attack for being wholesome and refusing to bring into its fold that which you have forbidden to be practiced.

When cities start beating up on Boy Scouts, the end of the Age of Grace surely must be drawing near.
