Mark of the Beast Update: Is the chip safe?
by Michael G. Mickey
(10-24-07)
Before I get into the meat of this commentary, let me reassert, once again, that I in no way suggesting as fact that the implantable microchip is the prophesied mark of the beast in the making or even a forerunner of it. My suspicion, on the other hand, is it is one or the other for any number of reasons.
Revelation 13:16-17: And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
In the prophetic future, a leader of Roman descent who will have confirmed a covenant of peace in the Middle East seven years in length between Israel and her enemies (Daniel 9:26-27) is going to rise as the world's final global dictator (Revelation 13:7). He will, if not at the very outset, eventually head the revived Roman empire we today refer to as the European Union as well as be the primary force behind a long-sought new world order. This leader will be the prophesied Antichrist.
At some point in the seven-year Tribulation Period, which will run concurrently with his seven-year peace covenant in the Middle East which will gain him global fame and, I strongly suspect, a Nobel Peace Prize, a False Prophet who will command that the world worship the Antichrist as though he is God will assist the Antichrist in introducing a system which will identify one as a follower of Antichrist.
We commonly refer to this 'system' of loyalty identification and worship of the Antichrist as the mark of the beast, which is described above in Revelation 13:16-17. As we see in Scripture, only those who accept the mark of the beast will be allowed to buy or sell. Those who refuse to swear their allegiance to Antichrist will be killed as seen in Revelation 13:15. Totalitarian and demonically-inspired government!
Current M.O.B. considerations
Now to recent events concerning the implantable microchip that may give us greater cause to believe it may be the prophesied mark of the beast in the making than ever before!
On September 8th, Fox News reported something very interesting concerning the implantable microchip: There was a potential cover-up of information indicative that the implantation of the microchip could be harmful! The Fox News story opened as follows (emphasis added mine):
When the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved implanting microchips in humans, the manufacturer said it would save lives, letting doctors scan the tiny transponders to access patients' medical records almost instantly. The FDA found "reasonable assurance" the device was safe, and a sub-agency even called it one of 2005's top "innovative technologies."
But neither the company nor the regulators publicly mentioned this: A series of veterinary and toxicology studies, dating to the mid-1990s, stated that chip implants had "induced" malignant tumors in some lab mice and rats.
"The transponders were the cause of the tumors," said Keith Johnson, a retired toxicologic pathologist, explaining in a phone interview the findings of a 1996 study he led at the Dow Chemical Co. in Midland, Mich.
Yes, readers! There is potential evidence that the implantable microchip causes cancerous tumors!
The New York Times echoed the Fox News report with an article that opened as follows (emphasis added mine):
Shares of Applied Digital Solutions and of its publicly traded subsidiary VeriChip, which makes an implanted microchip for identifying people, fell sharply yesterday as investors reacted to a report this weekend linking the tiny radio device to cancer.
The report, by The Associated Press, suggested that VeriChip and federal regulators had ignored or overlooked animal studies raising questions about whether the chip or the process of injecting it might cause cancer in dogs and laboratory rodents.
Now, I ask you, why would federal regulators overlook the possibility that implantation of these microchips could cause cancer? Why VeriChip might overlook or ignore the animal studies is obvious: M-O-N-E-Y.
By September 11th, VeriChip was brushing aside concerns the implantable microchip could cause cancer in humans in an article appearing on Yahoo's news website. The following is an excerpt from that article:
VeriChip Corp. said it would thoroughly review reports referenced in an Associated Press article that link its microchips to cancer in lab rats and mice, and reiterated that its product was cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
This brings us to some worrisome questions that I believe someone in our government needs to answer: Was VeriChip simply looking for an out to cover its tracks, using the F.D.A. as its scapegoat or did the F.D.A. actually know about these reports prior to approving the implantable microchip for use in humans? And, depending on the answer to that question, we potentially have a greater question of concern: If the F.D.A. didn't know the implantable microchip had caused cancerous tumors in laboratory animals, why, pray tell, are these devices still be implanted in humans today before further investigation into the matter has been conducted? Hmmmm...
The following is a second excerpt from the same article wherein VeriChip reasserts that its implantable microchips are safe:
VeriChip said since learning of the article, it has found studies from its own manufacturer that conclude microchip implants do not cause malignant tumors.
It also pointed out that the article and research cited made no link between microchips and cancer in humans.
Finally, it said rats and mice have higher probability of tumors at any injection site than any other types of laboratory animals.
Wow! I don't know about any of you but that alleviates all my fears! It just clears everything right up, doesn't it?
VeriChip's very own studies have shown that the chips are safe.....even though studies conducted by other parties have concluded otherwise. So, who do YOU trust in this scenario?
What a great argument to make us all feel safe, huh?
Mr. VeriChip says, "Sure, studies have shown that animals injected with our product occasionally develop cancer but the studies don't say humans will get cancer."
All this typing and thinking has left me parched. Pass me a glass of fresh antifreeze to drink, Mr. VeriChip! We all know that what hurts animals doesn't necessarily hurt humans so let's inject, drink and be merry!
The fallout of the cancer possibilities?
Not even three weeks later, the implantable microchip was back in its customary role of being a life-saving technological breakthrough, its cancer-causing days apparently swept away by the powers that be.
By September 25th, a KVUE.com article was telling us implantable microchip technology "may get under your skin." The following is an excerpt from that article. As you read it, I want you to see how positively the chip is portrayed and then watch as the article takes us down the path to believe we have cause to suspect the mark of the beast may well be in the making:
You won’t ever lose it, and you’ll always have it with you, but the newest way to carry an ID might turn a few stomachs.
That’s because it’s a tiny computer chip inserted under your skin.
It’s not science fiction either. The chips, each smaller than your fingertip, have been approved by the government and are marketed for high-risk medical patients like people with Alzheimer’s who might not be able to tell doctors what is wrong with them.
But that’s not all.
The chips are being put in some bank and credit cards. Starting last year, the U.S. government began putting them in passports. And in some cases, the tiny little transmitters are being put in people.
See how great this technology is? Look how many lives of high-risk medical patients it may save! And, by the way, there's just an itsy bitsy chance it may be a new cashless monetary system in the making! Are you smelling any mark of the beast implications, readers? I certainly am!
Time magazine's website currently has an article out on the implantable VeriChip which I would say is pro-implantable microchip overall. Having said that however, in fairness to Time, I think a lot of information was laid out for us to consider but, as anyone who reads the piece will see, most of it comes from VeriChip Corporation itself.
For consideration: The implantable microchip's chances of becoming the prophesied mark of the beast
A lot of information has been covered here and I, personally, have drawn no rock solid conclusions as to where I believe this technology is headed other than bringing us closer to the mark of the beast on some level. Having said that, I am left to wonder, in light of the above as a whole: Could it be that our government and powers seeking to bring about a new world order have already decided that any complications caused by the implantable microchip is better handled than trying to come up with a better way to control and monitor mankind?
There will be those, even those who regularly read this website, who will think it bizarre of me to suggest that anyone might be plotting anything sinister concerning the use of the implantable microchip. If you're one of those people, I ask you, seriously: Do you believe our best interests have been considered by the F.D.A. in allowing these chips to continue being implanted in humans in light of even the slightest possibility that someone is going to get cancer as a result? The math just doesn't add up where I'm sitting.
And I would point out to everyone who has forgotten that it was yours truly who, just last year, observed that the new world order-seeking Bilderberg group met in Ottawa, Canada of all places. Any connection between VeriChip and Ottawa? Look what I wrote in June of 2006:
According to the Ottawa Business Journal, the bulk of VeriChip's operations and revenues now come from the former Instantel operation located in Ottawa, Canada where the top secret new world order-seeking Bilderberg Group chose to meet this past week out of all the places in the world, but that doesn't mean anything....as far as we know (or are allowed to know).
So, before anyone thinks I've jumped onto a conspiracy theory bandwagon only to fall off and bump my head, keep these facts and recent developments in mind. Think about it all very carefully - and prayerfully.
And about the potential cover-up of information indicative that the implantable microchip may cause cancerous tumors at the location of implantation? Bible prophecy tells us that something is going to happen in the Tribulation Period to those who accept the prophesied mark of the beast.
Revelation 16:1-2: And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
A cancerous tumor on the right hand or forehead would certainly qualify as a noisome and grievous sore. It makes you wonder, doesn't it?
