Making The Connection?

In Ezekiel 38, we find that a list of nations are going to attack the nation of Israel in the prophetic future, one of which I have been urging people to keep an eye on as they didn't seem to fit in the prophetic picture - but I KNEW they were eventually going to. That nation is Turkey.

The alliance of Gog-Magog attackers found in Ezekiel 38:

Magog - Most agree this is a reference to Russia.
Meshech - Most associate this with modern day Turkey, ancient Anatolia, but some say it refers to the Moscow area.
Tubal - Most associate this with modern day Turkey, ancient Anatolia.
Persia - modern Iran
Ethiopia
Libya
Gomer - eastern Europe or Turkey
Togarmah - southeastern Europe or Turkey

How long have I been telling people to watch for evidence to emerge that Turkey's long-standing allegiance to the West, even as a member of NATO, is crumbling? Quite a while as can be discovered by doing a word search on my site using the word Turkey.

In recent days, as I have strived to keep my reader's abreast of, both on the site's news page and in commentary,the Gog-Magog connection is beginning to be made before our very eyes, once again proving the absolute certainty of the Word of God's accuracy!

Yesterday, the big news of the day was that Turkey was bombing Kurd positions near or inside its border with Iraq, as was reported by Fox News among others.

Today's news, if accurate, has absolutely HUGE Gog-Magog implications as it is being reported that a leading terror analyst is suggesting Turkey's Iraq position, which is placing it in conflict with the United States, is being manipulated by (Are you ready for this?) biblical Persia (modern day Iran) and Syria!

The OneNewsNow.com article quotes Dr. Walid Phares, a senior fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, as saying "Iran and Syria may be calculating that the Turks will move into northern Iraq and not only clash with the PKK, but clash with local Kurdish forces, who are U.S. allies. He says that that the ultimate goal of Damascus and Tehran is to create more instability in Iraq."

Is Turkey beginning to make its Gog-Magog connection before our very eyes? I believe that may very well be the case, especially if the Turkish government is taking its cues from Damascus and Tehran.
