The Jerusalem Post is reporting that "a group of rabbis from Israel have sent a letter to US President George W. Bush warning him that if the planned Annapolis Middle East parley is not cancelled, a disaster will befall US citizens, just as Hurricane Katrina decimated New Orleans after Israel's disengagement from the Gaza Strip in August 2005."

It's always hated, at least by a certain segment of mankind, when someone indicates that God still has an interest in the affairs of mankind so I'm sure I'm going to be hearing from the boo birds for saying what I'm about to say, which is this: I totally agree with the rabbis.

Although it may not be a popular position in mainstream society that God might swat the United States of America with His hand of judgment for disregarding His law of blessing and curse as it relates to the nation of Israel or simply lift His hedge of protection from around the U.S.A. because it places the apple of His eye in danger, there is every reason for us to believe that President Bush is about to make what may prove to be a grave mistake by hosting a land for peace meeting between the Israelis and Palestinians on U.S. soil.

Genesis 12:1-3:

Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

These rabbis have provided a timely warning to President Bush. Unfortunately, I doubt their wise words will be heeded by Washington.

May God have mercy on our nation.
