The Associated Press is reporting the following, in part (emphasis added mine):

Yellowstone National Park, once the site of a giant volcano, has begun swelling up, possibly because molten rock is accumulating beneath the surface, scientists report.

And...

Smith [Robert B. Smith, professor of geophysics at the University of Utah] and colleagues report in Friday's issue of the journal Science that the flow of the ancient Yellowstone crater has been moving upward almost 3 inches per year for the past three years.

That is more than three times faster than ever observed since such measurements began in 1923, the researchers said.

"Our best evidence is that the crustal magma chamber is filling with molten rock," Smith said in a statement. "But we have no idea how long this process goes on before there either is an eruption or the inflow of molten rock stops and the caldera deflates again."

I'm probably just over-reacting again or being a typical gloom and doomer hoping to see the world blow up, etc. and so forth, but does anyone other than me get a sense that the Lord may be gently expressing His opinion of President Bush's long-standing roadmap to peace and, particularly, his upcoming Middle East peace conference to be held at Annapolis later this month by stirring Yellowstone's magma a bit? I'm not saying He is or isn't but what is going to take place in Annapolis, should it occur, bodes anything but well for the U.S.A.!

Genesis 12:3 states, as plainly as it can be stated, that those who bless Israel will be blessed and, on the other hand, those who curse (or imperil) Israel will be cursed.

When the United States of America hosts a so-called peace conference wherein it knowingly advances the cause of those who have long sought to wipe Israel from the face of the earth, regardless of what the U.S. government's official position of the week is on those who supposedly seek peace with Israel, it's akin to asking the Lord if He'd like to be slapped in the face by the nation He has blessed above all others! Not good.

Here's what a Wikipedia article has to say, in part, on the topic of what an eruption of Yellowstone could result in:

In 2005, a two-part television docudrama entitled Supervolcano was shown on BBC, the Discovery Channel, and other television networks worldwide. It looked at the events that could take place if the Yellowstone supervolcano erupted. It featured footage of volcano eruptions from around the world and computer-generated imagery depicting the event. According to the program, such an eruption would have devastating effect across the globe and would cover virtually all of the United States with at least 1 cm of volcanic ash, causing mass destruction in the nearby vicinity and killing plants and wildlife across the continent.

For the last three years, during which President Bush has never once distanced himself from the cursed Quartet and its roadmap to peace, the upward flow of magma in Yellowstone has more than tripled in rate above any other time since record keeping began!

May God have mercy on His Church as there is no question that the United States is, barring a miracle, going to come down on the losing side of God's law of blessing and curse!

In spite of Christians all over this nation writing to our leaders in government, begging them to get us out of this land-for-peace garbage with Israel's enemies, a so-called peace conference is going to be held in Annapolis and Yellowstone is swelling up like a balloon on its way to popping!

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus!
