Deadly Exchange: A mark of the beast update

An American Chronicle article opens as follows:
Washington, D.C.—A new radio frequency identification device developed by ENOCH Corporation, a subsidiary of Lectures And More, Inc. (LAM), has received approval by OSHA as a worksite enhancement tool for employers. Company literature states that the device emits an ultra low radio frequency that helps decrease employee tension in the workplace, thus raising effectiveness and productivity.
According to Dr. Walter Jones, Director of ENOCH, the RF signal sent by the device penetrates the human subconscious and effects cranial regions associated with stress and anxiety.
“Immediately, one wonders if such a device could be used to alter the behavior of employees?” asks a Capitol Hill spokesperson, who wished to remain anonymous.
Chilling thus far, isn't it? The good news is that the above is an excerpt from a fictional book entitled "Deadly Exchange", which was written by the author of the American Chronicle article the excerpt itself appears in, Geoffrey M. Gluckman.
As Gluckman points out shortly after sharing the excerpt from his book, the reality of a scenario like the one depicted above unfolding in the future isn't as far-fetched as some would think. Amen to that!
As regular readers of my website are well aware, RFID technology is discussed often here, primarily because of concerns I have that we may see the technology or a variation thereof play a prominent role in the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, particularly in the Tribulation Period to come when the government of Antichrist will require all mankind, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads as a symbol of allegiance to him. Those who refuse to accept this mark will be unable to buy or sell. (Revelation 13:16-17)
Gluckman writes the following, in part, in the remainder of his commentary (emphasis added mine):
....federal and state governments will soon be tracking their residents. As of late 2005, the state of Virginia launched an initiative that will imbed RFIDs into state driver’s licenses. As with other security measures, these chips will store important identification data, such as date of birth, social security number, a digital fingerprint copy, and even 3-D facial information. This has drawn much criticism from privacy advocacy groups, especially the American Civil Liberties Union (www.aclu.org). Nevertheless, by June 2006, a similar program by the Department of State will be phased in for all passports issued for U.S. citizens. This follows on the heels of an identical program completed by Australia.
Going a step further, in early 2002, Applied Digital Solutions (www.adsx.com) of Palm Beach, Florida unveiled an injectable RFID chip, the size of a grain of rice, called “Verichip”. Company documents state it is a transceiver “that sends and receives data and can be continuously tracked by GPS”, which they successfully demonstrated in 2000 at an investor launch. Each chip carries a unique ID number and can be activated by an external scanner, which causes a signal to transmit the data to a telephone number, the Internet, or a storage device. The electromagnetics of muscular contraction power the device, which body tissue surrounds after insertion. In addition, the company claims that this chip is superior to other biometric security measures because it is impervious to tampering.
In February 2006, two employees of CityWatcher.com in Cincinnati, Ohio were implanted with such a device. However, according to Sean Darks, company CEO, the chip was not intended for tracking, rather to control restricted area access. In such a scenario, the imbedded body part is held under a scanner (reader) and data for entry is communicated, similar to a coded entry card.
Another related usage occurred after Hurricane Katrina struck Mississippi, where numerous unidentified body parts were tagged, allowing for enhanced tracking.
The age of tracking humans is in full swing.
Is the age of influencing humans through electronic signal that far behind? And will we know when it starts?
Deadly Exchange may be your glimpse at the future.
Gluckman's fictional work, as he suggests, may very well be a glimpse into the future of mankind, particularly as we look at RFID technology in relation to Bible prophecy.
Will mankind be "chipped like dogs" in the prophetic future?
A recent story by the Independent reveals that justice ministers in the UK are planning the following (emphasis added mine):
....to implant "machine-readable" microchips under the skin of thousands of offenders as part of an expansion of the electronic tagging scheme that would create more space in British jails.
Amid concerns about the security of existing tagging systems and prison overcrowding, the Ministry of Justice is investigating the use of satellite and radio-wave technology to monitor criminals.
But, instead of being contained in bracelets worn around the ankle, the tiny chips would be surgically inserted under the skin of offenders in the community, to help enforce home curfews. The radio frequency identification (RFID) tags, as long as two grains of rice, are able to carry scanable personal information about individuals, including their identities, address and offending record.
The tags, labelled "spychips" by privacy campaigners, are already used around the world to keep track of dogs, cats, cattle and airport luggage, but there is no record of the technology being used to monitor offenders in the community. The chips are also being considered as a method of helping to keep order within prisons.
The chips are being considered as a method of keeping order within prisons. Interesting, huh? This is precisely why we should all be concerned about where this technology is headed. What can be used to 'keep order' in a prison setting can likewise be used by a totalitarian government like the one the Antichrist will head to control the masses!
Hypothetically, if RFID is the mark of the beast in the making and receiving such technology becomes a requirement in order to buy and sell during the time of his new world order's reign, the Antichrist will hold complete power over those who agree to become his loyal subjects by accepting his mark. Fall out of the good graces of the new world order and, with a stroke of a keypad, one could be without financial assets of any type and be locatable in no time flat via GPS technology.
Many people can't see that we're subtly being led down the pathway to the mark of the beast today because, practically every time we see this technology being marketed for use in humans, the spin is it is for our SAFETY.
Let's get those unruly criminals in prison microchipped so we can all be safer, right?
Let's microchip our Alzheimer's patients so we can find them if they wander off. Let's do it for their safety!
Let's microchip ourselves so our medical records can be located quickly if we arrive at a hospital unconscious! Think how much safer that will make us, right? They're already conducting a foolproof study to document that so they can start chipping us!
Lastly, let's microchip our children for their safety. More on that topic below...
Microchipping Babies
A WorldNetDaily article points out that privacy advocates are protesting the fact that half of Ohio birthing centers have turned to RFID tracking technology being produced by the same company that hopes to place a microchip in each and every one of us, VeriChip Corporation.
"Standard protocol in the hospitals using the VeriChip system is that the baby receives an RFID anklet at birth and the mother receives a matching wristband," VeriChip spokeswoman Allison Tomek told WND. "The mothers are not asked."
Standard protocol. And why is it standard protocol? Because someone could abduct the child from the hospital without the RFID anklets, of course!
Ladies and gentlemen, particularly those of you who do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and risk finding yourselves in the Tribulation Period wherein the mark of the beast will become a reality, read the following words very, very carefully: We, all of us, are presently being indoctrinated on a near-subconscious level to believe that the implantable microchip is all about SAFETY. SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY!
Katherine Albrecht, who founded Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion and Numbering or CASPIAN, is quoted in the WorldNetDaily article as saying the following, which doesn't help make the case for the 'RFID for infant safety' angle:
"We actually investigated an abduction that involved a baby who was wearing an RFID ankle bracelet at the time of the abduction," Albrecht said. "What happened was a woman dressed up in hospital scrubs. Even though the other staffers in the maternity ward did not recognize this woman, nobody reported her, because they thought the RFID system would take care of any problem."
The woman figured out how to turn the RFID system off, Albrecht said, 'and she just walked right out of the hospital carrying the baby, without anybody stopping her."
But not to worry, folks! It's but a matter of time until safety will require that we do something to ensure that a stranger walking into a hospital can't turn off an infant's RFID and successfully escape with them. For the safety of the child, standard protocol will, in all likelihood, evolve into placing an implantable microchip into the child. Purely for their safety, of course. Far-fetched? I wouldn't bet against the possibility. Not at all.
Conclusion
Our world today just isn't safe enough for us to survive without government being able to monitor the activities of everyone due to terrorism, criminal activity, medical illnesses and the like but Big Brother is working on making our world safer.
Eventually, as we see in Bible prophecy, a leader of Roman descent who will confirm (or make strong) a seven-year covenant of peace in the Middle East with the support of the international community (Daniel 9:26-27) is going to cause many to rejoice that a brighter day has come for mankind, causing the masses to cry "Peace and safety! Peace and safety!" (1st Thessalonians 5:3)
At some point beyond that joyful day, mankind will have a choice to make concerning where their loyalties lie. Will they receive the mark of the beast in their right hand or forehead and align themself with a man who will proclaim himself to be god, damning themselves to hell in the process, or will they choose to be unable to buy and sell, raising the very real possibility that they will be anything but safe? Tough times lie ahead to be sure.
If you're reading this and you're not a Christian and you see the events described in Bible prophecy become a reality, you only have one hope of gaining eternal life - by gaining salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior just as is the case here and now, presuming you're reading this on the side of the Rapture I'm writing in on. The downside of coming to faith in Christ after the Rapture of the Church, however? You will face a very high probability of being martyred by the forces of Antichrist as a direct result of your faith. Thus the need to come to faith in Christ now. Right now!
Author Geoffrey M. Gluckman's book is near prophetic in many regards. I don't know if he's a Christian or even conceives how correct he is to foresee government using RFID technology to control mankind. Regardless, I think a "Deadly Exchange" is definitely in the making.
