"And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." (Genesis 12:2-3)

Bearing Scripture in mind, an Israel National News article is quoting a well-known anti-Israel activist, Ali Abunimah, as saying Barack Obama is currently hiding anti-Israel views he holds in order to get elected. Could it be? I can't think of even one reason we should suspect Obama wouldn't do such a thing given his long-standing association with the Trinity United Church of Christ and its recently-retired anti-Semitic pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Jr.

According to Abunimah, he has met Obama on numerous occasions at pro-Palestinian events in Chicago. Not only that, Israel National News quotes Abunimah as writing the following in a commentary he prepared for an anti-Israel website:

"The last time I spoke to Obama was in the winter of 2004 at a gathering in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. He was in the midst of a primary campaign to secure the Democratic nomination for the United States Senate seat he now occupies. But at that time polls showed him trailing.

"As he came in from the cold and took off his coat, I went up to greet him. He responded warmly, and volunteered, 'Hey, I’m sorry I haven’t said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I’m hoping when things calm down I can be more up front.' He referred to my activism, including columns I was contributing to the The Chicago Tribune critical of Israeli and US policy [and said:] 'Keep up the good work!'"

Keep up the good work?

While Senator Obama insists he certainly wasn't in church when his church reprinted a Hamas manifesto in the pastor's page of the church's Sunday bulletin written by a Hamas spokesman who "defended terrorism as legitimate resistance, refused to recognize the right of Israel to exist and compared the terror group's official charter – which calls for the murder of Jews – to America's Declaration of Independence" as reported by WorldNetDaily.com recently, it seems to me Barack Obama has a LOT of questions to answer in this instance - ones he can't merely say he wasn't in church to see or hear, as if either of those excuses should be considered valid at this point to begin with in light of how much video footage we've all seen by now that clearly indicates the wild, anti-biblical and anti-Semitic rhetoric his church has routinely engaged in, some of which I feel it is highly likely Barack Obama was there to see and hear in his twenty plus years of membership in the church.

One of the first questions the media should ask Obama is what his explanation for the photo at the top of this page consists of. Pictured from left to right Michelle Obama, Barack Obama, "virulently anti-Israeli" Columbia University Professor Edward Said, and his wife, Mariam Said. This photo, according to Israel National News, was taken at a May 1998 Arab community event in Chicago at which enemy of Israel Edward Said, Barack Obama's dinner buddy, gave the keynote speech.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but this picture? This picture is worth a million words in my opinion as it is yet another picture of Barack Obama coddling up to an enemy of the apple of our Lord's eye, the nation of Israel. (Zechariah 2:8)

Christians, it's time for us to baton down the hatches where our spiritual discernment is concerned in relation to our obligation as Christ's Church to do our very best to protect the nation of Israel!

All of us know by now that the Bush administration has played both sides of the fence where its friendship with Israel is concerned, claiming on one hand to oppose terrorism in all its forms while, on the other hand, encouraging Israel to surrender its covenant lands to those who harbor terrorists dedicated to the destruction of the nation of Israel.

We all know by now that the Bush administration, in spite of the absolute disaster the Gaza withdrawal has resulted in, is still compelling Israel to give its enemies more of Israel's covenant lands from which they will, absent of a confirmation of peace occurring as prophesied in Daniel 9:27, continue to seek Israel's destruction.

What's done is done where this administration's efforts are concerned but we shouldn't look the other way when there is an ever-growing mountain of evidence indicating that we have a man running for the White House who is a friend of staunch enemies of the nation of Israel - a man one of those enemies is openly saying is lying to us in order to get elected in November. A liberal politician lying to us to get elected? Who would've guessed?

I am convinced on multiple levels that Senator Barack Obama is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Not only do I wholly believe he's a wolf in sheep's clothing, I think the hand of Providence is giving us ammunition to challenge his ascent to what is currently the most powerful position of authority in the free world.

My advice, Church? Get the word out about Obama!

Just because the mainstream media continues to give Barack Obama what is essentially a free pass to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the Church of the living God is a totally different matter! We know how to use the internet, after all. We can make a difference if we want to - and I wholly believe we should want to! If we don't have a desire to protect Israel, we need to be asking ourselves why because we have a Scriptural mandate to align ourselves with Israel's best interests beyond the shadow of a doubt!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and keep looking up!
