When Will God Judge America?

 

Billy Graham once said “If God doesn’t judge America He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.”

 

Anyone who thinks God will not judge America doesn’t understand the Bible. We here in America are being judged at this very moment. God will continue to judge us until something changes. You might ask, “How is America being judged?” First of all, let me just say that all judgments from God are not huge, catastrophic occurrences. Some things can begin to take place under the radar, so to speak, but they grow and fester as unattended sores. What am I talking about? If we read the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans, the first chapter gives us a clear indication on just how God is currently judging America. “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.” Romans 1:18, 19. We see from this passage that God’s wrath is upon us even now because of all the wickedness that permeates our society.

 

We need only listen to the nightly news to see that this country is in the grips of the evil one (Satan). But how does that prove God is judging America? Paul is talking about those individuals who won’t accept the truth that there is a God and that He is the creator of the universe. Paul tells us that God made Himself plainly known to them (wicked men and women), as He has to us all. But they refused to accept the truth. “For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” Romans 1:20. Did you get that? Without excuse. God holds us accountable to know Him and to know He is our Creator.

 

So, what’s God doing to judge America? Read the following verses and I believe it will become clear what His judgments are. “For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools…Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator–who is forever praised. Amen.” Here it comes, “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done…Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.” Romans 1:21-22, 24-28, 32.

 

God gave them over to what we call homosexuality. This is God’s judgment on America. Even those who do not participate in these ungodly acts but condone them through voting for such things as same sex marriages, or by being sponsors of the agendas of these individuals. If we as a nation allow wickedness to continue, even condone it, God will actually give us over to a completely corrupted lifestyle, hence the judgment of America. This may be hard to grasp, it may even sound like I’m some sort of homophobic, their term, not mine. Remember this: I didn’t write the Bible but I believe every word from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 and I take it quite seriously. We have been given the most perfect word of God in which we are admonished to live our lives. As you have read above there are those who refuse to accept Gods word for their lives. They even go as far as to say there is no God “…and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles,” Romans 1:23.

God’s judgment on America is happening before our very eyes. If you can remember back as I can, you’d know as I do that homosexuality has gotten much more pervasive over the last forty years. Earlier in my life, it was hardly heard of someone being homosexual. This perversion was looked upon with disdain. Now, it’s widely accepted. Most large corporations in this country help to promote the homosexual agenda. Our public schools promote it as an acceptable lifestyle.

Remember this, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7 Currently there is no cure for HIV/AIDS and there never will be. This disease mutates into millions of different strains. It can’t be stopped with antibiotics of any kind. Only by eradicating such vile behavior will it be contained.

Ford Motor Corporation has been boycotted for the last two years because of their blatant refusal to stop promoting the homosexual agenda. Even though they are losing millions of dollars each month, they continue relentlessly in their pursuit to promote the homosexuals. They would rather continue to be a sponsor of that ungodly lifestyle than to earn a profit. In the past two years they have only had one profitable month. They’ve laid off thousands of employees, sold many of their subsidiaries, taken huge losses, all for the homosexuals, and there just one of the many corporations pursuing the same agendas. I read a report recently on World Net Daily’s website which laid out for all to see that there are so many corporations aligning themselves with the homosexual agenda, that it is impossible to purchase anything nowadays without supporting these corporations. Ford motor company has relented of late and no longer openly supports the homosexual agenda, but the damage is done.

Is God judging America? Absolutely. As I’ve stated above, He will continue to judge America until something changes. The truly born again Christians of this land need to stand up for what the Bible proclaims. We are the only ones who will. If you think the government of the U.S. will stand up for or promote God’s word, you better think again. Our government is becoming more and more hostile to God and His true followers.

 

The Bible is God’s inerrant word; we either believe it or we don’t. But we can’t change what He is telling us within the pages of our Bibles, and there are no grey areas within the pages of His mighty word.  

 

God says what He means and means what He says.
