Over the weekend I went to see Ben Stein's documentary Expelled. From the moment I first read of the movie being in production I felt good about it. Someone needed to bring into focus what the establishment - in this case Darwinian-based science - is doing in an unprecedented effort to prevent anyone from looking into the flaws of Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, especially if they do so because they suspect, based on new discoveries that have been made in cellular research, that there is a chance our existence here is not merely a byproduct of random mutation and natural selection but by design.
While I could ramble on about what I heard and saw in the documentary for quite a while, I don't want to ruin the experience of seeing it by giving away too much of what its content consists of, but I'll give you an example of sorts to consider.
If I handed you the keys to a brand new state-of-the-art automobile and you were to learn every facet of its design, where every screw is located, how every moving part performs and that knowledge was what Charles Darwin knew of the cells he hypothesized were evolving way back in the 1800s? Today's scientists, comparatively speaking, would hold that kind of knowledge of thousands of fleets of cars! We've come a long way, baby!
In Darwin's time, the basic building block of life was considered fairly simple in its construction. But today? Not at all. Just as the deeper we look into space, the more we're learning is out there for us to try and understand, the deeper science digs into the composition of cells, the more questions there are as to how anything of such incredible and magnificent complexity could have come into existence on its own as Charles Darwin proposed over a century ago which the scientific community continues to cling to as 100% unquestionable truth to this very day.
Not only does the scientific community (the establishment) continue to hold Darwin in a light that is almost religious in its fervor, respected scientists and professors who so much as dare to question evolution being the sole explanation for our existence are being blacklisted, losing tenure and the like with no one coming to their aid, slamming the door shut on them being able to scrutinize Darwin's theory, essentially silencing them. Enter Ben Stein.
As Stein details in his documentary, he started hearing of scientists being prevented from scrutinizing Darwinian theory and wondered if it could be true that a society which prides itself on permitting freedom of thought, expression and inquiry of practically every variety has become a place where one topic is off limits to even our most brilliant minds - the possibility that Darwin's theory of evolution may not be true. What he discovered shocked him. I am certain what he discovered is going to shock many of you as well if you go to see his documentary.
Richard Dawkins and other clowns
For those of you familiar with evolution's greatest modern proponents and atheism's greatest heroes of today, the name Richard Dawkins is familiar. Having hailed Darwinian theory as the end all and be all explanation for life existing on earth, Dawkins left his arena of expertise, evolutionary biology, and wrote a book a few years ago dedicated to making everyone who believes in God appear a fool. I haven't read Dawkins' ridiculous book for that reason, but a review of it on Amazon.com written by Publishers Weekly says the following of Dawkins:
For a scientist who criticizes religion for its intolerance, Dawkins has written a surprisingly intolerant book, full of scorn for religion and those who believe.
(Sidenote: Remember what I always say about tolerance? If not, here it is again:
Tolerance is a one-way street that flows away from God.)
Dawkin's book is called "The God Delusion" and is, in my humble opinion, demonstrative of why science today (
the establishment) is totally hostile to anything other than Darwin as an explanation for our existence, this in spite of the fact that Dawkins makes a hilarious blunder in the documentary by suggesting that, if an intelligent life form of any variety played a role in our existence, greater cellular research might reveal a
signature of the designer within the composition of our cellular makeup.
Pause here for a moment and absorb what you just read because Dawkins has opened a door of thought here I promise you he didn't intend to. The door opened raises a serious question - one everyone who truly wants to see science find whatever
truth there is to be found in advanced research needs to ask themself.
How would a scientist find a
signature evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins says could exist when they are instantly blacklisted (or
EXPELLED as the case may be) and, subsequently, lose the necessary grants and funding needed to investigate the possibility? Even the brightest minds need money - lots of money and equipment - to conduct such a study but Dawkins and his ilk?
The establishment? They are all acting in collusion to prevent that research from being done. I don't know about any of you but I smell a rat. A great big rat!
If Charles Darwin's primitive theory, which was anything but widely accepted in his time, had been censored in the manner scientific inquiry that runs counter to Darwin's theory is currently being censored, no one would even know his name today. But the censorship and blacklisting that's going on? That's just the tip of the iceberg concerning the role Darwin's theory of evolution has played in some pretty ugly events in our history and may yet play if we don't see this movie and allow its findings to sink in and then be prepared to make a stand against Richard Dawkins and the Charles Darwin goon squads.
All of us, whether we believe in a loving God or not, should have an interest in seeing scientists be permitted to engage in cellular research
without Darwin-only imposed establishment restrictions that gives them the
freedom to go where the evidence leads them as opposed to being intellectually imprisoned and, in many cases, put to death (
EXPELLED from their careers).
Personally, I sincerely believe that
the establishment, particularly men like Richard Dawkins who have placed all their intellectual eggs in Charles Darwin's basket, are quaking in their atheistic boots, scared to death that a signature may well exist in every living cell - the signature of Almighty God.
Watch For It
If you go see this documentary - and I pray you will - I want you to notice, particularly, how Darwin-only scientists speak of God and those who believe in God. Listen carefully when Richard Dawkins reads a description of the God of the Bible from his before-mentioned book. Watch the faces of the Darwinists as they stumble all over themselves praising Darwin while having to acknowledge that they have nothing other than wild speculation to offer us concerning how the first self-replicating molecule came into existence. Watch for the contempt they all have where the God of the Bible is concerned.
Not only do I want you to observe carefully the mannerisms and speech patterns of those who are Darwin-only proponents; I want you to note how comfortable those
the establishment has trampled underfoot are in their own skins. In spite of how terribly they've been treated, see if you sense they're radical scientists/professors or, as one of them was described by
the establishment, "intellectual terrorists?"
Conclusion
Ben Stein has blown the lid off of intellectual censorship and suppression as advertised in his documentary
Expelled.
Whether you believe in God or not, it shouldn't be legal in the United States of America for scientists engaged in genuine scientific inquiry that is harmful to absolutely no one to be discriminated against in the manner they presently are. It is shameful. Truly shameful!
Go see this documentary. Take your children who are being indoctrinated to believe that Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is the only viable explanation for their existence to see it as well and talk with them about what you see.
Only through knowledge of what is going on and being vocal are we going to restore true freedom to science in this nation. Ben Stein has gotten the ball rolling. It's up to all of us to keep it rolling.
One way we can do that is to see Ben's documentary. Maybe even a couple of times.
