There's no better place to be than on the right side of God, living in obedience to His Word and will. But here in these last days? There are a whole lot more people landing on the wrong side of God than on the right. How sad!
The news of our world today is replete with examples which should bring to mind what John Funk wrote just a few days ago when he spoke of the Days of Noah, not to mention the days of Lot.
Luke 17:26-30:
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all.
Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Corruption, manifest wickedness, sexual immorality, godlessness and violence. All of these were prevalent in the days of both Noah and Lot as they are in our world today.
We're in those days!
The California Teachers Association, according to a
OneNewsNow article, is defending an atheist school history teacher, Dr. James Corbett, for instructing his class to remove their "Jesus glasses" so they could see the truth. This, of course, is a call on the part of the teacher for the children in his class to abandon their faith in Christ! The teacher's comments occur frequently enough that a student took the wise step of digitally recording his words and has since filed a lawsuit against the school.
Robert Tyler, general counsel with
Advocates for Faith & Freedom, says the action by the teacher's union is deplorable.
"The California Teachers Association has jumped in on the side of this teacher who was preaching atheism to tenth-grade students at a public high school, in a class titled 'European History,' and teaching things that have nothing to do with European history."
This behavior, in the eyes of the California Teachers Association, is worthy of being
defended?
Yes, Christians, we're in those days prophesied in the Bible leading up to the return of Christ!
In Canada, as we see in a
OneNewsNow article, a Canadian Christian ministry fired a female employee upon learning she had become involved in a homosexual relationship.
The ministry in question,
Christian Horizons, in an effort to prevent lifestyles in contradiction to their Christian outreach from being associated with it, has all its employees sign a contract prior to accepting employment that indicates their employment is conditional upon them not being involved in same-sex relationships, for example. The employee having violated her contract, it would seem the decision to fire her was justified and well within the ministry's rights. Nonetheless, she filed a complaint with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario which, in turn, fined
Christian Horizons $23,000 and two years back pay!
Jordan Lorence of the Alliance Defense Fund is quoted in the article as saying the homosexual agenda will continue to persecute the Christian agenda as it gains power, labeling the Canada situation "
a very significant threat to religious liberty."
Christians, Canada and Australia are slightly ahead of the United States in terms of permitting the homosexual agenda to be advanced but rest assured that persecution along these lines is coming to the United States of America soon unless we stand our ground.
Why anyone living outside the boundaries set forth in the Word of God would want to work at a Christian ministry is beyond my understanding to begin with but what we see taking place is a stern reminder to us to be ready to meet Jesus Christ in the air. Why? Because we're living in the days of Lot as prophesied would be the case in the last days!
And then there are our churches themselves, some of which are contributing to us living in the days of Lot! As noted in a
OneNewsNow article, the Presbyterian Church just sent a most disturbing message concerning same-sex marriage to a lost and dying world when it acquitted a Presbyterian minister after she violated denominational law concerning marriage by overseeing two lesbian wedding ceremonies.
In one of the most twisted, politically correct decisions I've ever seen, the Presbyterian Church's leadership said that its policies forbid marriage that doesn't consist of a woman marrying a man and, therefore, the minister in question didn't actually perform a
marriage and, as such, couldn't have possibly violated church policy!
Let's say that you work at McDonald's, for example. You're assigned to make french fries for the day but, in spite of the fact it is completely forbidden that you fry anything other than french fries, you decide to fry some Snickers bars instead. The manager finds out that you did so but then decides that, since the rules specifically say you can't fry anything other than french fries, there's no way you could be in violation of McDonald's policy because that series of frying sessions wasn't officially McDonald's french fry cooking sessions.
Anyone buying that? I didn't think so.
Jim Berkley, director of Presbyterian Action with the
Institute on Religion & Democracy is quoted in the article as saying, "This is too wishy-washy, too nuanced. What we need is a very clear statement that says we believe that homosexual practice is [sinful] ... that any practice of homosexuality is not something that the church can countenance, and that we won't be playing around with it ...."
But, a clear reflection of the times we're living in, that isn't what the Presbyterian Church is doing. Far from it!
Believe it or not, the same minister, according to the article, is currently counseling three homosexual couples "in preparation for
marriage."
When those
marriages take place, there will not have been a violation of church policy either I dare to say. How absolutely
ridiculous not to mention apostate is that?
This is but another example of how we're living in the last days as prophesied in God's Word.
There is no absolute truth! No right or wrong! No up nor down! And it is only going to get worse. Bet on that!
The
Alliance Defense Fund is presently preparing to take a case of Christian persecution in public schools to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, according to
WorldNetDaily.com. Why? Because a student in Boyd County, Kentucky was illed - and rightly so - by a policy the Boyd County School Board adopted that "prohibited students from sharing their beliefs that homosexual behavior was wrong simply because others might find the message insulting."
Children in the Boyd County school district, in part due to the efforts of the A.C.L.U., were required to attend three days of diversity training during which they heard a clinical psychologist say the following, in part:
"So … no matter where you go, no matter what you do, no matter who you meet, you are going to find people that you don't like," the psychologist says. "You're going to find people that you disagree with. You're going to find people that you don't like the way they act. It can't be avoided, not, not anywhere in the world, it can't be avoided. You're going to find people that you believe are absolutely wrong. You're going to think … That is so wrong … But here is the kicker, just because you believe, just because you don't like them, just because you disagree with them, just because you believe they are wrong, wholeheartedly, absolutely, they are wrong. Just because you believe that does not give you permission to say anything about it. It doesn't require that you do anything. You just respect, you just exist, you continue, you leave it alone. There is not permission for you to point it out to them."
There is no
prohibition against a person speaking an opinion counter to that of those practicing sexual immorality according to the Word of God in the United States of America either! At least not yet.
This, Christians, is what our children are being taught in public schools! Political correctness, moral relativism, tolerance and to
keep their mouths shut if their Christian values compel them to speak out in favor of a lifestyle obedient to Almighty God.
Setting aside the implications for Christians for a moment, we need to consider where all this political correctness is leading us in general! Believe it or not, it is leading to an
erosion of our freedom of speech and other liberties promised us in the Constitution! But back to the issue at hand. This is how we know we are living in the prophesied last days! This is a prime example of how we can
know that Jesus Christ's return is drawing near!
And what I've written thus far? It's but the tip of the iceberg!
I encourage all my readers to visit the links to all the sites presenting us with this information and read the articles in their entirety. Not only that, I want those who elect to do so to note the
DATES of these articles. These aren't events scattered over the course of five years! These are current stories! These things are happening now!
Practically daily!
How sad it is to share this last example in closing. It should break all our hearts to hear that a federal court has ruled that a
New Jersey football coach is "constitutionally prohibited from even respectfully acknowledging the student-led prayers of his team" by bowing his head with them during the pre-game meal or taking a knee with them during the team's pre-game prayer! How far we've fallen as a nation!
HOW FAR!
There is a light at the end of this tunnel
A full-fledged war on the cross upon which our Savior, the Word of God Himself, died is underway! It is taking place everywhere and relentlessly.
An unrepentant world is deliberately landing on the wrong side of God just as it did in the days of Noah and in the days of Lot! We were told to watch for days like these to come but reminded that dark days like those we're living in are, unbeknownst to the wicked, paving the road to victory for the saints!
Luke 21:28: And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Luke 21:36:
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
So, ready to fly?
