God's Purpose for God's People

God has a purpose for each of His children; some complain they just don’t see it. We are called children of God because we have placed our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” John 1:12. If you don’t see His plan for your life, perhaps you’re just not looking hard enough or you may be ignoring Him.

Complaining about what God’s doing in your life is futile. It is unthinkable that a pot can give advice to the potter. Hence, it is unthinkable that a human being can fault God for what He is doing in that person’s life. You may not understand what God is doing, but please remember, you are the pot, and God is the potter. “But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand” Isaiah 64:8.

God has absolute sovereignty in our lives. Sovereignty means that He can do what He wants, when He wants, and as long as He wants without explanation to you or anyone else, not ever. When we accept that fact, life becomes so much more enjoyable just knowing He is in control, not us.

Fear not, nor worry, but give thanks to God in every circumstance. Jesus said, “Be not anxious” He was speaking about worry; worry is a sin. It is a form of blasphemy. Worry means you don’t trust in God, and is not the same as having concerns. Worry is assuming a responsibility that God did not intend for you to have.

“Worry is a trickle of fear that soon cuts a crevice so deep it drains all other thoughts away… When anxiety begins, faith ends; when faith begins, anxiety ends.”

George Muller

"…Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom” Luke 12:7, 32. God looks at our fear and worry and says “my child doesn’t trust me.” Don’t allow a stronghold for the enemy. Doubt, fear, worry, lack of trust, and anger are just a few of the strongholds the enemy looks for in Gods’ people to start eating away at their faith, until no faith remains.

Trust in our Lord Jesus Christ always; give Him all praise and Glory. He has promised never to leave us nor forsake us.

When the Potter is done molding the pot into the shape He wants, it is then placed into a very hot Kiln to give it strength and durability; a time of testing.

Have you passed God's test? Will you pass God’s next test? It’s hard to fail when Jesus Christ is first in your life.

God Bless you all,

Ron Graham
