Terrorism: A Sign of The Last Days

It is almost unfathomable to believe that the video above, of a dump truck trying to slip past barricades at a Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, Pakistan, could lead to the level of destruction and death it apparently did as documented in a Fox News story on same.

In the video above, it appears that an initial attempt by the driver of the truck to set off its deadly cargo of high explosives failed, causing only the cab to catch fire. As hotel staff members tried to extinguish the cab, probably thinking the danger had passed, the truck exploded killing them all. The Pakistani government didn't release the actual explosion for it to be shown which was appropriate, in my opinion, but this gives us some insight into the evil that is radical Islamic terrorism and the levels those who act on its behalf will go to in order to shed innocent blood, which is something the Lord hates according to Proverbs 6:17.

In Bible prophecy we're told that the last days will be like the Days of Noah as recorded in Luke 17:26-27:

And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

While the Luke account, reinforcing the fact that Christ's return for His Church is going to occur at a moment when the world will largely being living life as it normally does, a look at what was going on in Noah's days as recorded in the book of Genesis gives us a deeper glimpse of what was going on - one we should pay particular attention to in times such as these.

Genesis 6:5: And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Genesis 6:11: The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

If Christ doesn't return for His Church soon, we are going to see more of the same, more September 11th-like horror and, potentially, worse even than that as frightening as that is to suggest.

Terrorism of this nature is a sign of the last days - a portion of the corrupt and violence-filled world we presently find ourselves living in and reading about in the news daily.

It's part of how we can know that Christ's return is drawing closer by the second! Keep looking up!
