Microchips are an inescapable part of daily life -- literally for the few thousand people across the globe who have one implanted in their body. If the Papua Provincial Council has its way, people living with HIV/AIDS in the province will be tagged like livestock by having microchips implanted into their bodies.

Quite apart from the moral aspect, mandatory microchipping of AIDS patients is dehumanizing and prejudicial, and violates one's physical integrity. One must question the applicability of the technology and the safety of the practice.

Although the U.S. Food and Drug Administration four years ago gave the green light for RFIDs to be implanted in humans, they also noted risks associated with the procedure.

Most notable was the impact caused by cross-signals from external electrical devices and the potential for adverse tissue reaction.

While the data are inconclusive, there are also suggestions that implanted RFIDs may cause cancer in the long term.

Anytime I suggest that the RFID microchip could be the mark of the beast in the making, I am met with some skepticism. It is presumptuous of me to conclude what the mark may be I'm occasionally told so, in sharing this information, allow me to once again reiterate that I am NOT stating with specificity what the prophesied mark of the beast will be because I can't possibly know the future to make that assertion. Having said that, however, I believe we have every reason to at least suspect the technology could be the mark of the beast in its infancy or, at the very least, a precursor to it.

The Scriptural Evidence

Revelation 13:16-17: And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

The word 'mark' in the original Greek is charagma {khar'-ag-mah}, which is defined as:

• a stamp, an imprinted mark
  
  a) of the mark stamped on the forehead or the right hand as the badge of the followers of the Antichrist
  
  b) the mark branded upon horses


• thing carved, sculpture, graven work
  
  a) of idolatrous images

Charagma {khar'-ag-mah} comes from the same root word as charax {khar'-ax}, which comes from the word charasso (to sharpen to a point, akin to grapho through the idea of scratching).

Grapho {graf'-o} is defined as:

• to write, with reference to the form of the letters
  
  a) to delineate (or form) letters on a tablet, parchment, paper, or other material


• to write, with reference to the contents of the writing
  
  a) to express in written characters
  
  b) to commit to writing (things not to be forgotten), write down, record
  
  c) used of those things which stand written in the sacred books (of the OT)
  
  d) to write to one, i.e. by writing (in a written epistle) to give information, directions


• to fill with writing


• to draw up in writing, compose
  

We see, when we look at all of this in totality, that the mark of the beast described in Revelation 13:16-17, is going to involve something sharpened to a point that is going to involve a scratching or breaking of skin and the recording of information. Implantable RFID microchips are inserted into the skin of their hosts by hypodermic needle.

And then there is the following information found in the article above to consider in light of Bible prophecy: The possibility for adverse tissue reactions, as well as cancer developing near the implant are concerns.

Revelation 16:1-2:

And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

Keep these things in the back of your mind and your eyes on the skies!

Conclusion

If the implantable RFID microchip is, in fact, the prophesied mark of the beast in the making, mandatory chipping and, subsequently, adverse tissue reactions are on the way!
